On this weeks show:

Real time strategy RPG Ogre Battle 64 is a different breed from the usual N64 game in that its an actual role playing game which isn't called "Quest 64". Developed by a team with roots in games like "Tactics Ogre" (Super Famicom), how does this one stand up to the likes of Mccormick's beloved "Final Fantasy Tactics?" (PSX)

JRPG Legend of Dragoon (PSX) was cited as a bit of a "Final Fantasy killer" in 2001. Often considered to be a bit of a hidden gem from the later stages of the original Playstation's life cycle, how does it play today? Mick is on the case!

Andy's on the classic this week... Strider (Megadrive), A classic, ubiquitous to many a wee pile throughout the West of Scotland in the 90s - always seems to make top 10 lists of best 16 bit arcade games. Is it still a banger in 2024?!

Clocherty checks out one of the last big disney hitters of the 16 bit era, a conversion of the pixar movie that shaped a generation, “Toy Story” (Megadrive).

McCormicks in aboot the visual novels this week as he takes on the weird wee spinaff to chrono trigger, Radical Dreamers.

Andy reluctantly patches his beloved N64 and delves into the realm of the playstation as he has a shot of the original entry from the console’s other mascot, Spyro The Dragon.

Clocherty plays Dr Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine (Megadrive). A game that promises all the fun of playing as the bold Ivo himself, only to blind side you by revealing its true form, a pretty basic port of an often forgotten Japanese arcade classic, the battle puzzler Puyo Puyo..

Andy digs oot the Gameboy Advance as we delve into the handheld Mario series once more… Warioland 4 (GBA) exhibits all the Yella tashy splendour of a late life Snes RPG in its scope, but how does it hold up against the like of its counterpart, the greatest sh***ng game of all time; Warioware inc?

Its an all timer for the QB’s favourite computer programmer this week… Sci Fi horror/Non linear platformer Super Metroid (SNES) has been described as the “perfect game”. Along with its contemporaries, Super Metroid inspired a whole genre of 2D platformers, known in the industry today as the “metroidvania”. How does this one hold up today? Is it still the best of the bunch?
