这个世界拥有两个次元，就像是镜子的两面一样存在着，一侧是我们所居住的“物质界”另一侧是恶魔所居住的“虚无界”本来两边是互相平行的，互相之间不能干涉，但是恶魔通过凭依我们这边世界的一切物质来进行干涉。心有邪念的人就很适合成为恶魔的凭依，而驱魔师的职责就是保护人们不受恶魔的侵袭。
　　「青之驱魔师」这部作品的主人公奥村燐是在正十字学园上学的学生。虽说他表面看上去是人类的后代，但是实际上是魔神撒旦的儿子。为了抑制这力量，他只能用降魔剑来抑制自己。有一天他和弟弟的养父藤本神父被魔神撒旦杀死后，他知晓了自己身为魔王撒旦儿子的身世。面对亲生父亲与人类养父，他做出的选择是不顾自己是魔神之子的秘密，立志成为驱魔师。目标是打倒撒旦为父报仇，因此加入正十字学园开始了成为驱魔师的道路。
