Posted • On this , we want to specifically thank you and all our donors who have given to not only help make Far East Deep South, but help it reach students and communities across the country.

We know there are many worthy causes you can give to but we hope you'll also consider giving to our continuing education outreach efforts. Here are our funding priorities for 2023:

FIRST CLASS INITIATIVE
We've opened another round of applications for underfunded school teachers to have our film shown in their class for the "first" time.

RACIAL RECONCILIATION
We're planning to host more free screenings and discussions bringing together Black and Asian community and church leaders across the U.S.

MUSEUMS & PUBLIC HISTORY
Working with the in Washington, DC to display my grandfather's Chinese Bible in their "Impact of the Bible on America" gallery was a highlight this year. Other museums have expressed interest in curating exhibits around our film and the history of Chinese in the South and we're working to make those happen.

Through our film and our education outreach, we hope to make a greater societal impact. Sadly, there's still a need to educate everyone on the dangers of perpetual foreigner and model minority stereotypes.

We're aiming to raise an additional $10,000 to help fund our outreach activities in 2023. We invite you to make a tax-deductible contribution to our fiscal sponsor, Artists for Community Transformation*, to support our work with schools, museums, churches and non-profits across the country.
