Friends, this next announcement is an exciting and humbling one. As some of you may know, the LGBTIQ community is not accepted legally in many countries around the world. In Uganda, a beautiful response to this discrimination came about 3 years ago with the Q***r Kampala International Film Festival.

It is the first and only LGBTIQ film festival in Uganda. It offers a platform to promote the rights of LGBTIQ persons through Film Advocacy. illuminates the diversity of Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Q***r communities by providing spaces where q***r films and stories are screened, discussed and celebrated. Their goals include pushing for legal reforms through expanding the network of LGBTIQ advocates, allies and activists who can lobby the relevant authorities and stakeholders, particularly politicians.

It is with hearts full of gratitude and grace that we announce that Frankie and Jude is a part is this festival, and will be screening this weekend to audiences in Uganda who are fighting for their right to love freely, act freely, and create art that is indeed a reflection of humanity as a whole. , and we are advocating as allies for all our LGBTIQ friends around the world, one fan film at a time.💗🌍👯‍♀️👯‍♂️💃🏻🕺🏽❤️🧡💛💚💙💜💖🌈 @ Kampala, Uganda

It's our final episode of 2018 & we're finishing on a bang!
In episode 62 we sit down with Actor/Filmmaker Lauren Myers. As an actor, her recent credits include "12 Strong," "Only the Brave," "The Space Between Us," "Better Call Saul," and WGN’s "Manhattan." She’s the co-creator, executive producer, and star of the psychological thriller "Dead Billy," now available on VOD and has written, produced, and directed several award-winning shorts through her production company, Room of Req Productions.

We have some SUPER exciting news to share: The Frankie and Jude universe (that’s right—all 3 films, nerdlings!🤓) have been asked to screen at the Louisville Supercon this weekend, as part of their Best of Fest program! This means, for the first time ever, all 3 films will be screened back to back theatrically! We are saluting the wonderful friends at with our light sabers as we speak. Thanks for this amazing opportunity, and for all our friends in the area, we screen this Saturday, Dec 1, at 4pm at the Kentucky International Convention Center. 😎

We are stoked to announce that Frankie and Jude are heading to the Portland Comedy Film Festival tomorrow night and that our very own writer/star Amy Baklini is nominated for Best Actress! If you live in Portland or the area, we screen at 9pm tomorrow at 5th Avenue Cinemas. Go get ‘em, Frankie, and May The Force Be With You!

Frankie and Jude are on the move! We are so excited to announce that ‘Frankie and Jude: Star Wars - Situation Normal’ is an official selection at the Portland Comedy Film Festival!

Thank you so much for all of the support we’ve received! We are incredibly humbled and can’t wait for such a fantastic festival! We will be screening November 10! ❤️

Say what?! We’re stoked to announce that “Frankie and Jude” walked away with 2 awards at the Michigan Comic Con yesterday: Spirit of Comic Con, and Best Editing! Congrats team! Stay tuned for more festival updates—we’re screening all over the country!

It's , and it honor of that, we're sharing a post from an actor friend who recently took action on set in a profoundly inspiring way regarding how women are portrayed on screen. It's our job as filmmakers to create stories that encompass all of humanity...not just for the male gaze. Onwards and upwards, friends!

"Thanks to my amazing reps, casting, and myself working late into the night, there will be one less gratuitous attempted r**e scene on TV. I feel proud, exhausted and sad. hasn't changed as much as we'd like, but the conversation has given us an opportunity to speak up when and where we can to make sure we never see another stupid, redundant and completely unnecessary r**e on the screen so our (usually male) protagonist can "do the right thing." Actors: (both women and men) Speak up. Reach out to your reps and your union. Trust your gut and stay strong. You are an important part of production. Sometimes you are the very last stop gap between the hustle of production and what ends up on screen. And to those working behind the camera. Let me tell you, there is a *massive* difference between physical violence and sexual violence. And if you don't get that, read the Brock Turner r**e survivor story. Today I had people saying to me privately they were "so glad" that scene had changed. We did that. So you don't have to see it. So it doesn't perpetuate this sh*tty and honestly *lazy* narrative. Onwards."
