Sound Asleep Records is a small Swedish label started by Jerker Emanuelson in 1994.

Sound Asleep has released mostly American pop and rootsmusic over the years, but these last couple of years, the label has released a few European records as well.

After many years in the works, here are some fantastic news! The Bob Woodruff LP "Waysides Unreleased Tracks & Demos" arrived from RPM in Copenhagen today! It has been a lot of work and going from being a single, an EP to become a full album of Bob´s great music. It contains two outtakes from the "Desire Road" sessions including great guitarplaying by James Burton, a fine duet with Lucinda Williams, two remastered tracks from "The Lost Kerosene Tapes, 1999" plus 7 more never before released tracks. It comes on 180gr blue marbled vinyl with deluxe gatefold sleeve. This is the first time that any of Bob´s music is available on vinyl LP. Be sure to secure your copy by sending 400kr to Swish 0707-97 23 25 or Bankgiro 259-1048. If you are outside Sweden, please, pay $40US to Paypal [email protected]. We also have a special offer. If you haven´t bought the Skinny Dyck LP "Easygoing", you can order that for 300kr to the same Swish and Bankgiro and for $30US to the same Paypal. We can send the two LP´s together, and that will save postage for one of them.

Just heard from the pressing plant that the Bob Woodruff LP will be sent to me later this week. So, hopefully, next week I will be able to post info on how to buy a copy or more.

This is really great pop, and I love their CD. They have an exclusive track on "Hit The Hay Vol. 3", and I have a CD-R with an unreleased album. I´ve lost contact with Robert Greene Jr. in the band. Anyone having any contact info for him? It would be very much appreciated!

What a brilliant show it was at KomBar in Gothenburg last night with Johnny Spampinato & The Value Leaders! This song "Be Here Now", was on our first "Fireworks" compilation with The Incredible Casuals that Johnny used to be in. A song by The Value Leaders will be on the upcoming "Hit The Hay" compilation.
