the antler room has been on my list for a while and I was so excited to finally visit and celebrate our wedding anniversary. every detail was absolutely perfect and I can’t wait to return again soon!

our thoughts: the new brunch menu is packed with bold flavors & creative ingredients, giving the brunch classics you love a delicious central mexican flair. the restaurant itself is both elegant & comfort making it perfect for a special occasion or casual family brunch.

our tip: visit on a sunday when they have a live dj. while the volume level is a bit than other days, the vibes are well worth it

monday got you down?? nothing a delicious bowl of ramen from can’t fix

on the menu:
▫️ red ramen
▫️ black ramen
▫️ spicy miso ramen
▫️ creamy chicken ramen
▫️ gyoza dumplings
▫️ fried rice
▫️ japanese fried chicken
▫️ KC buns
▫️ ice cream mochi

our thoughts: this was our first time trying authentic ramen and now will never go back. flavorful and super satisfying with delicious handcrafted noodles and fresh ingredients. the atmosphere is welcoming, warm, and oh so fun! the market area has a wide variety of japanese sweets, treats, and snacks. loved picking out a few different candies to bring home with us.

our tip: the ramen portions are large! and the kiddo portions can easily be shared between two kiddos. they have to-go bowls handy making it easy to take leftovers home

📓 it’s officially back to school time 📓
what better way to celebrate than with adorably delicious sugar cookies from

to me, this time of year has always felt like a mid-year reset and refresh. I love getting to celebrate all the “newness” a fresh school year brings, along with all the promise of things to come.

whether your kiddos are 3 or 33, human or fur babies, I think it’s a season that can forever be celebrated and enjoyed.

some of my goals
🎮 digital detox, less tech time especially during the week
🗒️ calendar & checklists, with three kiddos it’s easy to overlook school assignments of special activities
🧘 making sure we’re all moving our bodies, at least a little bit, each day
☕️ more coffee dates with friends. this season of life is super busy, it’s easy to ignore much needed adult friendships

📚 happy national book lovers day 📚

it’s no secret that I LOVE a good book and could spend all day wandering through a bookstore or library. a cozy chair, a cup of coffee and a good book are my idea of heaven

I’ve included a few of my favorite reads that I have in my home@library, but have so many more! so many great books, so little time 😆

our thoughts: the brunch at has always been one of our favorites. the food is fantastic and a great mix of breakfast, brunch, and lunch options. the cocktails are phenomenal and it’s pretty much impossible to order something you won’t love

our tip: they are known for their cinnamon rolls, fried chicken, and lemon meringue pie…make sure to get there before they sell out for the day!

our thoughts: love the moody hues & romantic vibes at , feels like a secret oasis in the heart of midtown. every detail from the decor to the ambiance to the menu is on point. the food was fantastic and everything we ordered as delicious.

our tip: no matter what you order, make sure you add a side of their pomme frites
