The mythical Francois; he might be all the symptoms of small man syndrome packed into a 2 foot melody dispenser, but he's my main muse and I wouldn't trade him for a thing. A few weeks putting our heads together and we've got the songs flowing, refueled and ready to roll.

Be hopping around the Magnolia State for the 2nd half of the month, but first up a couple of gigs on home soil. Gonna be at the The flagpole nola on Thursday from 3, and then at Bourree at Boucherie on Saturday. Swing through for 'lil blues!

Lightnin’ Hopkins was an original. Like TJW, he too got his start in the Texas nightclub scene. His fingertip guitar technique was also adapted by Tony Joe as they often played bass, rhythm, lead and percussion at the same time. TJ once met Lightnin’ in 1969 during the recording of ‘California Mudslide’ and said he “walked in with a bottle of whiskey and walked out with a brown paper sack full of cash”.
