💾💾💾 make sure you save 2. You will need to have a custom business email (especially if you are using Systeme.io. As of Feb 2024, SIO will no longer send emails from free accounts) and Free email accounts are not the best idea if you are going to use email campaigns. Your emails will end up in junk. When you set up your domain, you will have the option to get an email account that goes with your domain - say yes! This email account can be paid up from 1 month to 10 years in advance. For 1 month, it is around $4. 3. Now, if you are following the course recommendations, you will need a funnel account. I like Systeme.io. It is an all in one program, and you can get started for free. The free account is basic but offers enough features to get you started. Then, you can upgrade at any time to a paid option. Now here is the part that I see and get the most questions on - when you create, for example, your opt in funnel to collect those very important emails, you are going to see an "address" for that funnel and it will look something like "https://yourdomain.com/f3gtb" THAT IS YOUR WEBSITE! See, your funnel becomes your website! Crazy right? And if your course was thorough, it will explain that the "f3gtb" is called a slug (there's a professional word, but I like slug). That slug can be changed to whatever you want (lowercase letters and no spaces only). So now your awesome website address looks like https://yourdomain.com/mykickassfunnelwebsite (don't steal that) 😉 HERE IS WHY THIS IS ALL SO IMPORTANT - When you go into all the companies and sign up for their affiliate program, they are going to ask for your website address, which is, you guessed it, ☝️ that kick ass address. So now, when you get asked for a website address and realize it was never really explained, you don't have to panic and run back to your domain place and buy a website you may not ever use 😊 We're going to need a part 3 .... stay with me

If you are doing the $7 course, I am sure you have heard all about Funnels and domains with email. Then you will go down a road of signing up for custom domains and emails, then getting an account for your sales Funnels and email campaigns. And after you have opened those accounts and suffered through connecting everything, you are going to literally stare at your computer screen thinking "NOW WHAT?" Based on your training, you are going to look for affiliate programs, but most of the bigger companies are going to ask you for your website and you are going to draw a blank because no one really explained the difference between a domain and website. So, rather than just blindly signing up for all the programs and then drawing a blank on what they do, you are going to start here: 1. Domain vs. Website - This one is always tricky. You would think they are the same, but they are not. When you are in the course they will talk about getting a domain, specifically. Think of a domain as a physical address - the home. And the website is the all the contents of the home and each item is a webpage. Using Google as an example - If you type in www.google.com into an address bar, google.com is the domain and will bring up a search page. If you type www.google.com/maps it will bring up the website for the maps that are inside the Google domain. So, when you create your domain (I use GoDaddy) and it asks if you want to buy a website (and you are just starting out and don't really know) say no. You can always create one later. A domain is going to cost you around $20 for 1 year. Stick with me here for part 2 - there is so much more!!
