We humans tend to anthropomorphize objects that exist in nature in an effort to connect with them. When I look at this coral, all I see a human brain; the outer pink coral forms the shape of the cerebrum, the brown bushy bulb in the back forms the cerebellum connected to a white shaft which is the brain stem. I quite literally lost my breath when I first laid eyes on this coral. I immediately looked back to shore to pinpoint where I was so I could remember its location. I became obsessed with this coral and visited on a daily basis; everytime I went out into the water I swam to it and stared at it in awe.
Is it just me, or does anyone else see a brain?

I often get told how lucky I am to travel, but the reality is, that it isn't luck that allowed me to travel. In the video I talk about my journey over the past few years and how I got to this point in time.
Kerikeri has so many waterfalls, but Charlie's rock has to be my absolute favorite! I love climbing waterfalls and jumping off them, I can't help but be a bit of a daredevil. Although this isn't the biggest waterfall Kerikeri has to offer, it definitely is the most fun, so much so that I went back the next day!
