Varun Khullar aka DJ AAmiSh is the resident DJ at Kitty Su (a popular nightclub at Lalit, a five-star hotel in New Delhi). In 2017, Khullar performed at the opening of Time Out 72, a multi-genre music festival in Goa, along with international artists such as Wiz Khalifa and Martin Garrix. Khullar has also performed at other popular music festivals such as "Greeshm", "Utsav" and "Social Spaces". Khullar's success is a testament to his extraordinary firmness and iron determination - he is India's first wheelchair DJ. After being in a car accident in June 2014, he suffered a spinal cord injury and was paralyzed from the waist down. Doctors delivered their verdict - he will never be able to walk again. Before the accident, Khullar's penchant for music was raised by his father. Now, with limited mobility, music has become a blessing. He was motivated by Sir Paul Johnson, who at the time was the world's only wheelchair DJ. Inspired by his life, Khullar learned to play the piano while he was bedridden. Over time, he recovered so much that he was able to independently drive his modified car around the city, and began to look for options for training DJs and a platform for performing. But it will never be easy. He realized the gross reality of discrimination when he was singled out for wheelchair use while enrolling in a DJ school in Delhi. The rejection of the DJ school, unfortunately, was the first of many. Now DJ Aamish is one of the Top Rated DJs in India. On June 18th his first release "INTERSTELLAR" will take place on our label Pal’s Records. The release will also include a remix from the label founder Aleksandr Kashnikov.
