As you may know, my family is on an Alaskan cruise vacation. I’m trying to bring you as much of it as I can. Yesterday we saw something amazing. This is a double edged sword. It’s called calving. It’s when a piece of a glacier or iceberg breaks off and falls into the water. It’s amazing to see and you have to be blessed to catch it. Got to not only see it live, but to record it as well. Check it out!
Tonight thru Friday The Z will be broadcasting live from Universal Studios Saphire Falls Hotel for “Momentum”…The country’s biggest Christian Broadcasting Convention. Here’s a short tour of our REMOTE broadcast studios our engineers put together! Check out how amazing this is!
One of the beautiful things we experience here in Florida are the amazing creatures God has gifted us with.
I took “Muffin” out for a walk yesterday, and when I looked across the street I noticed that we weren’t the only ones out for a walk on a sunny Z-Land Day!
Oh, remember that if you ever see these gorgeous animals somewhere, don’t even think about interacting with them because it’s illegal to feed, touch or disturb sand hill cranes, raccoons, deer, alligators, opossums, or any protected Florida wildlife.
Florida Administrative Code 68A-4.001 makes it a second-degree misdemeanor punishable by up to 30 days in jail and a $500 fine.
Just do what I did (and do) admire them from a distance.
This afternoon my camera alarm went off for something at my front door. When I looked at it it was some deer just three feet from my front door. But, by the time I got there, they were gone.
Blessed to do PA for tonight’s International Competition! What a crowd tonight at Camping World for the Champions Tour game between Real Madrid and Juventus. Sold out! Final count - 63,503!
We’ve (the Z staff) been talking about all the new equipment we’ve just installed in our studios, so I thought I’d show you what it all looks like first hand. Here it is!
I am so proud and honored that the US Men’s National Team uses me to do stadium PA Announcing for many of their games. I just wanted to share one more (funny) thing that happened yesterday in St. Louis when I was announcing the U. S. Men’s National (soccer) Team vs St. Kitts Nevis in the CONCACAF Gold Cup Tournament. Pre-game, Tulio (who was our game night director) said, “give me BIG goal calls.” I said, “how big?” He replied, “as BIG as you can do it.” So….after three (of our 6 last night) he said, “I’m recording this.” So, here’s goal call #4 from last night! This is what the sold out 22,000 capacity stadium heard. (Listen to the crowd chanting U-S-A in the background.)
So, if you’re a Z listener and ever wondered what our on air studio looks like, let me give you the nickel tour! This is the main studio at the station, though we have a few others. I’ve told folks when I first walked in, it looked like NASA at first glance!
Making the bed in the morning would be so much more difficult without Max’s help!
DI’d you see tonight’s launch? I missed the actual launch but caught a glimpse of the boosters coming back to earth!
It’s Friday! Let’s all celebrate like this guy!
Cats are independent. You rarely see them. They avoid people and are not affectionate. Hmmm, really? All I know is I wake up every morning with three of them in the bed.
Today little Max has minor surgery. To nervous cat moms and dads, words like minor and routine do little to comfort. We see the word “surgery” but he is in great hands with the best vet in town!
Remember bubble lights at Christmas? My grandpa always had a whole string of these on the tree! We have a bubble nightlight now!
One of our neighbors goes all in with his light display, complete with music you can tune in on the radio!
So far, putting lights on the tree is going just about as expected!
Oh! What’s in this pot? Black beans! Yes! What’s cooking at your house?
Our friendly volunteers taking your calls during Fundraiser 2023! You can also give online at standwithyourZ.com. Thanks to our Dream Team!!
