Tele-Mental Health Counseling

#COVID19 is currently keeping many people in their homes without access to many services including mental health counseling. Thankfully, with modern technology online services allow many people to continue to work from home. This same technology can allow individuals the opportunity to receive mental health counseling via Tele-Mental Health counseling.

Under normal circumstances, providing tele-mental health counseling was restricted to certain online HIPAA compliant platforms, but thankfully, the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), is lifting this requirement until the National Public Health Emergency is lifted. What does this mean for you?

If you are wanting to seek professional counseling you are able (during the National Public Health Emergency) to speak with a mental health counselor via a variety of different platforms (i.e. FaceTime, Zoom, Facebook Messenger, etc).
