🦚 Peacock
📏 Average Size: Peacocks, particularly the Indian Peafowl, can reach up to 8.5 feet (2.6 meters) in length, including their spectacular tail feathers. They weigh between 8 to 13 pounds (3.6 to 5.9 kg).
⏳ Lifespan: In the wild, peacocks live for about 15 to 20 years, but they can live up to 25 years in captivity.
🍽️ Diet: Peacocks are omnivores, feeding on seeds, fruits, insects, small reptiles, and even small mammals. They forage for food on the ground and can sometimes be seen pecking at the ground for insects.
🏞️ Habitat: Native to the Indian subcontinent, peacocks are found in forests, grasslands, and open areas. They prefer habitats with plenty of cover for roosting and open areas for foraging.
🦗 Predators: Peacocks face threats from large predators such as tigers, leopards, and wild dogs. They rely on their ability to fly short distances and their impressive tail display to evade threats.
