Imagine teaching your kids the truth about July 4th, and then them looking at you like, "Ummm, tell me why we are celebrating this day?" They start citing Frederick Douglass’ speech, What to the American Slave is the Fourth of July? So, you take the opportunity to school them on why we BBQ, watch fireworks, and take the day off. It’s less about Independence Day and more about legacy, soaking in all the wisdom from elders, and enjoying time with family and friends.

If you know my kids, you know that's not where the questions end 🥴. "Well, why are you making July 4th orders?" I said, because in my Jay-Z voice, "I’m a hustla, babe, oh." So with that said, my July 4th orders are complete, and I hope you enjoy this day however you choose.

🌸 See you later, June, and hello, July! 🎆 🌞 As we transition into a new month, I find myself contemplating what freedom truly means in this day and age. The fireworks light up the sky in red, white, and blue, a powerful reminder of the ongoing fight for liberty and justice.

Red signifies the bloodshed of my Black brothers and sisters, even in 2024, a poignant symbol of the struggles and sacrifices made. Freedom isn't just a given; it's a right we must continue to fight for, ensuring equality and justice for all.

Freedom also isn't just about our external circumstances; it's about breaking free from our internal barriers, embracing our authentic selves, and creating a life that aligns with our values and passions. It's about finding joy in the journey, despite the challenges we face.

As we step into July, let's remember to cherish our freedoms, big and small, honor the resilience and courage of those who paved the way, continue to advocate for a world where true freedom and equality exist for everyone, and continue striving for a world where everyone can experience true liberation. Here's to new beginnings, personal growth, the pursuit of happiness , perseverance, and the hope that together, we can create lasting change. 💫. 💫

Me to my kids yesterday you can have one cookie after dinner. My kids says what cookies. The picture below is of said cookies out in the wide open. I always bake extra when I have orders. They had the nerve to say wel you kept saying don’t touch my cookies they are for an order. Touché y’all saw me ship all orders yesterday. They proceed to say yeah your customers are going to be excited and I know they are going to say this is the best chocolate chip cookies & butter cookies they’ve ever had. I said I know.
