Dear Friendship Family,
As a church community, we understand that death, grief, and transitions are part of life's journey. Nevertheless, it doesn't hurt any less when it's one of our own. It is with profound sadness, yet with a hopeful heart, that I announce the passing of Missionary Lillie Broadfoot, beloved wife of our longest-serving pastor, Rev. Dr. Carroll Broadfoot. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of faith and service will continue to inspire us all.
We are in the process of planning a Celebration of Life to honor Missionary Broadfoot's remarkable journey. We'll keep you updated as the arrangements are finalized. Let's come together as a community to support one another during this time of loss and remembrance.
This Weekend:
During tomorrow's worship service at 10:00 AM, we will dedicate time to pray for and offer support to all members of our church family, especially those most affected by this loss. We invite everyone to join us in this time of reflection, comfort, and shared grief.
Celebration of Life:
Details for Missionary Broadfoot's Celebration of Life are pending. We will communicate through email and on our social media as information becomes available. We anticipate the church-at-large to make appropriate adjustments to be present and serve as needed.
Please allow the Broadfoot family the space they need to plan and prepare for her celebration, as well as room to process this transition. If you wish to express your condolences, you may send cards to the church office at 1905 Florida Street, Vallejo, CA 94590.
