A Pillar! 🕊️ We join the faith community in mourning the passing of Pastor Sylvester Rutledge. Praying for the Rutledge Family, the North Oakland Missionary Baptist Church and all who held him in their hearts.
Rev. James Lawson and Rev. Philip Lawson, alongside Dr. King, paved the way for me, a Black woman who grew up in segregated El Paso, to serve in Congress and run for US Senate.
I draw from their courage and conviction to fight for even more justice for future generations.
The Lawson brothers join the powerful assembly of over 90 Black religious leaders throughout California who endorse our campaign.
I’m deeply honored to have their support.
