Typical!… 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♀️

We tow 2500 miles around Europe without a single issue, but on a little trip to Birmingham everything goes wrong 😆

❌ Broken Thetford pump
❌ Broken skylight blind
❌ Faulty hob thermocouples

These are all to be expected with a caravan of this age — especially given how much we use it — but as always, we’re on top of the maintenance 🔧

In fact, it has its annual service booked for tomorrow! Fingers crossed they don’t find anything else that needs fixing 🤞🏻

Autumn has well and truly arrived since we’ve been away! 🍁

After a cosy last night in the caravan and a wet and wild journey home, the very first thing we did when we got back was light the fire 🔥

We’ve had a great time away, but we must admit it’s good to be home 🏡🥰

We’ve had a busy but fun week at the Motorhome and Caravan Show. It’s been great to see all the new vehicles and accessories, but our absolute FAVOURITE part of these shows?…

Meeting you lovely lot! 🫶🏻

Bumping into followers and hearing about your own accessible travels is always the most rewarding thing, and reminds us exactly why we do what we do 🥰

We are so lucky to have such a wonderful community here, and are grateful for every single one of you! 💗

We saw loads of these lovely woodland displays as we wandered around the caravan show 😆 - kept reminding us of our new log burner at home! Can’t wait to get back and light it again. ☺️🔥🪵

😍 Love love LOVE these gorgeous little Eriba caravans. We quite often see them when we’re travelling in continental Europe and just have to stop and stare! So fun, compact, cosy and easy to tow, with so many options to choose from. Perhaps not the best things to be adapted for a larger wheelchair like mine, but lovely to see nonetheless. 🗺️🏕️

It was also lovely to get chatting to Claire from Kool Classics, who is so passionate about these models. 😊

We had a fabulous time at the annual Caravan Writers' Guild Awards Dinner last night 🤩

It’s always great to catch up with the lovely people we work alongside, and network with the industry we are grateful to be a very small part of 🥰

Eight years ago our dream of owning a wheelchair adapted caravan started to become a reality when we visited the NEC Caravan Shows to meet exhibitors and learn more. We’ve since travelled tens of thousands of miles across the UK and Europe and had some EPIC ! 🗺️🏕️

Do Not Miss Coachbuilt at the show this year, it’s not too late to get tickets, and they have a stunning Swift Kon-tiki Sport for you to see with a full bespoke wheelchair conversion. They’re just inside the entrance to Hall 6 and you’ll likely find us loitering around their stand during the week too! 🤩

It’s been a great first day at the Motorhome & Caravan Show, and we’ve loved catching up with everyone and getting the lay of the land 🚐

There’s so much to see here, and we’re looking forward to getting stuck in more throughout the week! 😁

A late night arrival for us after a busy day, so my head torch has been deployed for the first time this winter. 🔦 Karla’s still feeling a bit ‘mehh’ from the flu and covid jab, so it’s an early night for us to be ready for tomorrow. 🏕️🌌

Cannot wait to head into the NEC Caravan Shows tomorrow and hope to see some of you lovely lot there too. ☺️
