(pronounced /səˈlaɪnə/)

The namesake of our little radio show and county seat of Sa

line County, Kansas, damn near smack dab in the middle of the Continental US. A former cow town known for rough-and-tumble rowdiness, site of a closed mid-50s strategic bomber base and the birthplace of Judy Barton in Hitchcock’s Vertigo. A haunted, decaying town in the dusty flatland, where memories swirl like tumbleweeds before prairie thunderheads. The perfect place to fight windmills. And we are The Underground. Join your intrepid resistance fighters Jonathan and Alicia as we rage, rage against the gradual greening out of the universe:

Johnny Cash backed up to subway hip-hop. Rolling rave loops with jazz flute solos. Darkwave surf, electric cello indie pop and old Yardbirds records. Comic hijinks, Cheese of the Week, the Walk Soft Rock of Shame and (sometimes) witty banter, served with steaming cups of java, lots of love and the occasional punkin gelato. Salina Underground. But we're feisty.
