This home’s existing outsized hipped roof was the project’s protagonist with overly deep eaves, minimal fenestration and dark interiors. While it had inviting charm from the street as one approached, the experience became disjointed and claustrophobic. The interior was confusing with various passageways and small, poorly lit rooms with few or no windows. It also came as no surprise to find the house was a house inside a house.

Elegance and charm surround this freshly renovated primary bathroom. The original floor plan was a narrow passageway where its various components (i.e., toilet, shower, sinks and tub) were all in a single line. The space lacked function and harmony, and the clients longed for a space appropriate to their 1912 Tudor home that would exude style, warmth and a spa-like atmosphere.
