It provides a place where the Villagers truly know
each other, learn together and share creativity. Since its very first release, the label has received huge support from highly
respected Producers and DJs worldwide, including Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha and
John Digweed. The permanent residents - Tonecast, Analog Effect, Loogin and Population 3 -
share their unique place in the dance music world with
revered guest producers,
including Remy, Simon & Shaker, Steve Mill, Francesco Pico, Roger Martinez and
Soundexile. The Village Council is comprised of three artists who share their views on the
future of dance music – through their record label and labelnights at selected
clubs, and through affiliates such as Radio Analog Effect, live every Friday night
from Studio-80 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Unannounced performances are part of the Secret Village way of life, where
mystery is key. The Villagers bring warm, raw techno/house sound boosted
by both headliners they respect and admire, and promising talent they want to
support in their development to leading DJs and producers. Intimacy is an important value, manifested in an approachable DJ stage and a
maximum of just a few hundred visitors. When hosting a festival stage, Villagers
know how to preserve this value and create an intimate atmosphere. Secret Village club nights are about integrating art, bringing artists together and
sharing musical creativity. The Secret Village promotes many different artists
and art forms, through music, performance and the hand painted covers of label
releases. By providing a platform for handmade crafts, homemade foods and
massage specialists, the artists provide a high quality personal experience to all
visitors of their Secret Village.
