Barefoot Muses A book for children on a rainy day. Here in the Northwest we learn to live with the rains that keep our homes so green and beautiful.

When Paul Du Fresne recently retired on the Olympic peninsula in Washington, he began to share some humorous verse with this grandchildren who are scattered across the United States. As family and friends read these poems and stories the idea for a picture book was born. “Sometimes It Rains” is his first book and work is underway on three more.

But for children, our rainy weather can dampen the spirit and make some days a little difficult. Here is a book for those rainy days. We hope that those who read and share it with others will come to know our wonder and enjoyment when “Sometimes It Rains”.
