Essex won’t start…. Fuel tank has now been removed and will be cleaned!
Gabe and Daryl did some deferred maintenance on Gabe's 1931 Essex Super Six tonight. It's a neat pre-war car that will be for sale soon. This would be a perfect ice cream runner for someone. Stay tuned for more updates.🍦
Only Gabe Casey uses a Rivian as a work truck!

It's hot and dry here in the Midwest, which means it's time to spend a few days in the garage working on car projects. Daryl and Gabe got the '70 Fury III running again thanks to a new fuel pump from O'Reilly Auto Parts, which they actually had in stock at the Peoria Heights store!
Brakes are next on the list, followed by a shakedown run. This old boat will sail the high seas and highways again soon!
Fellow wrench-throwers, have no fear! Episode 78 is now being edited. It should be out this week if Daryl's laptop doesn't crash again. We'll learn what our good friend Gabriel Casey has been working on, and why he might need some sweet new garage cabinets in a few weeks.
Rest assured that we'll also drop some sweet preshow action very soon! 🔧

Preshow in progress…. Ep 61
With the mild 70 degree weather and a steady breeze, we thought today was the perfect opportunity to blow the stank off Daryl and Sarah's latest #1955Cadillac project car. The legendary Steve Brown stopped by to offer some advice on cleaning 32 years of caked-on filth off the original finish. (Dawn dish soap in a foam cannon worked extremely well, and the results speak for themselves.)
We'll continue with the next phase of decontamination and polishing the paint, then move on to the chrome and stainless. Special thanks to Sarah for dealing with the rodent aftermath. She deserves a medal for bravery.
There will be more updates to come. Meanwhile, Eric and Daryl catch up with Steve on the next show, but for now we're pleased as punch. Thanks a million, Steve and Sarah!
