Being Exhausted & Overwhelmed wasn't for me anymore⤵️

First you are going to want to save these to use later when you find yourself ready to lose your s**t on everyone in your house lol- ( no judgement) I've been there☺️

Let me start this by saying motherhood is hard AF in ANY CAPACITY- so this is for all my moms, single, blended, bonus, married feeling single...

1. UNINTERRUPTED "ME "TIME- I'm a mom of six, running a business, making sure my kids are good, staying on top of my marriage and being a sister daughter etc... I require non negotiable me time everyday. I need time to recharge, love on myself and do the things I enjoy so I can continue to show up for everyone!

2. Open Your Mouth- I over communicate with my husband, I didn't make these kids alone and I will not be the primary parent getting the soul sucked out of me all day- nope we are tag teaming this crew!

3. I'm a realistic mom- s**t happens everyday won't be perfect, I move on and make whatever went wrong better the next day!

4. Hire A Sitter- I have no problem opening my wallet to a trusted sitter to do the things I want, have date night, or chill with my older kids without toddlers wilding out 😂

5. I go into each day with my positive affirmations to set me up for a positive day- ( want a list of twenty affirmations hit me up)

6. Establish a support group- I have a trusted group of my girls I can talk to without any judgement!

7. I allow my children to free play- we do not have to do every single activity with our children- they will be okay if you let them do them for a minute or two!

8. Cultivate a positive open home environment- I set my home to be family's safe space and peace and everyone knows how it runs, with everyone doing their part it takes the stress off of me to do every single thing

9. Celebrate Victories- I welcome all wins- every toddler ate what I made, my big kids got up and off to school, drop off, whatever your wins are celebrate it!

The last one is my best one yet...

10. I do not compare my motherhood journey to anyone else's. I'm not going to be guilt tripped into feeling like a failure.

I choose to let my husband lead not because I’m a doormat, but because I believe in the strength of a true partnership. When a real man steps up with intention, it’s not about control; it’s about unity and shared goals.

Allowing him to lead doesn’t diminish my strength; it amplifies the power of our connection. We both play our parts, understanding that each role contributes to the harmony of our family.

My husband consults with me on all decisions, because he trust and values my opinion, I allow him to lead because he has proven that his every move is made with respect and the sole purpose of making sure we are always good! And I trust his decisions.

I'm not taking about submitting to any ole dusty man, but that man that leads with intention, that has a proven record of making it happen, the man that would sacrifice himself before letting any harm or struggle come your way! That's the man I'm willing to let lead.

I love being soft and not stressing about the day to day because I know I have a Mr. Make it happen and if and when he ever needs me I too can make things happen and he knows and trust this. I've got his back through anything!

This can be your reality too⤵️

As moms we think we have to do it all or the world will crumble around us. I know I was there, I went from a single mom of two holding it down ( s/o to my single moms it's a different type of hustle) to adding on 7 more kids with my husband. I refused to let the overwhelmed/ overworked mom role take over.

Once I stopped trying to live up to the expectations society has for moms, and REDEFINED what MOTHERHOOD looks like for me my whole perspective shifted. I went from being burnt out giving my kids the crumbs I had left over after a long day.. to being present and engaged when I was with them.

If you are ready to redefine motherhood and get out of survival mode this is for you!

1. Prioritize the f**k out of yourself. ( a store run to get things for the kids is not selfcare ladies)

2. Relearn what interests you and sets your soul on fire ( what was it that makes your eyes light up and that you can talk about for hours)

3. Start doing the things that you love everyday.. ( we put so much emphasis on what makes our kids and spouses happy think about only you for a sec)

I promise starting with these things and filling your own cup will leave you energized and excited about the kids, loving on your man, opening your heart to love and excelling in your career.

Continuously pouring from an empty cup and wondering why you are drained is insanity.

Stop listening when people tell you submitting to a man will have you out here lost and stupid. The right man who leads with intention will cover you, protect you and provide in every situation. On this particular day, all the kids were home, the day was busy and before I looked up my husband was walking through the door. He greeted me with the groceries he bought in, kissed the kids and proceeded to start cooking while we talked about our day. There was no resentment no complaints of a hot meal not being ready. He values me as a person who makes our home run efficiently which in turn allows him the freedom to book events and works as he does. So he has no problem stepping in and helping because this is his way of taking care of the family he created.
