We are very happy to announce that Tolayye (Play in Wolastoqey) is now available on iTunes and coming soon to Android. This app teaches the Wolastoqey language. With funding assistance from Heritage Canada and a super talented crew we made a great game to be very proud of! Go Team Ni’gweg!

17/02/2023

Our collective is stoked to announce that Tolayye a Wolastoqey language app goes into production March 1st. Pre production went smoothly and we should be done this app sometime in June.

The Wolastoqiyik/Wəlastəkokewiyik are also sometimes known as “the Maliseet”, a name given to them by their Mi’kmaq neighbours.

Excited to produce this amazing app! We are already in discussions to have this app available across other Indigenous languages as a way of teaching and preserving.

We are stoked to announce that our collective has received funding from the Canada Council for the Arts to continue telling stories for our Nitap app. Stay tuned for sneak peeks!

Education is one of the most important factors in not repeating mistakes and also in making amends. We share this story in an effort to start a dialogue and have a starting point for all ages to talk about Residential Schools, the effect if has had on survivors and those who did not survive, the effect it continues to have today on the next generations.

Special thanks to the Department of Canadian Heritage for supporting this film.
