Quality filmmaking for Motion Pictures, Documentaries, Short Films & Television Commercials. In 2007 we began production of a western titled "The Lawmen".
Barber Motion Pictures was created by filmmakers Matthew Barber and Nathaniel Barber. The film was completed in 2011. Its theatrical score was composed by the brilliant Juan Carlos Enríquez. It is by far the largest production the studio has produced. In the Spring of 2012 we produced several commercials for Anytime Plumbing and Drain, which is stationed in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Additional c
ommercials were released in 2013. In January of 2014, production commenced on a Western/Horror film called Windigo Origins. Windigo Origins was later chosen as an Official Selection in the 2014 South Dakota Film Festival. During production a prequel was in the talks. Currently, the prequel, Windigo Revolution is in the earlier stages of pre-production. We are also working on a documentary about a treasure hunter and his search for Jesse James' lost treasure. In Filmmakers Matthew Barber’s and Nathaniel Barber’s retro-perfect horror short GET OUT OF THERE, after surviving a dangerous fall, an injured patrolman soon discovers that a dark supernatural presence is closing in on him. From the Directors, “The conception of 'Get Out of There' began with the objective of capturing an inescapable nightmare on camera. The sort of nightmare in which the participant physically is unable to move fast enough to evade some form of opposition. Having experienced these types of nightmares on numerous occasions I craved to bring them to life in the form of a movie and what better way to express a nightmare than through a ghost story.” From The Angry Princess in Morbidly Beautiful, "Part of what I love so much about these Texas filmmakers is their passion for 70s horror and their uncanny expertise at recreating the magic of horror’s golden age. The filmmakers cite influences such as Steven Spielberg’s ‘Jaws' and 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind’ in making this film, and they expertly capture the tone and atmosphere of the era.” And shades of sweeping classic film soundtracks, the score is even performed with a piece of music composed by a 59-piece orchestra! Creepy, unbearably intense, and imbued with a sense of increasing urgency, GET OUT OF THERE will screen at this year’s NEVERMORE 2023 at the Carolina Theatre in Downtown Durham, NC!
