a lesson: mental health ownership

It's crucial to prioritize our mental health, yet it's easy to forget about it until something triggers our awareness. During this month, we've seen some great posts and content highlighting the importance of taking care of our mental health, but let's be real, it's not enough!

I want to share a lesson I've learned on my mental health and healing journey: learning your triggers, understanding why you feel what you feel, and where your trauma and pain come from is just the beginning. It's essential to own who you are and stand your ground. For years, I let the opinions and misconceptions of others impact me, but I've realized how much of a disservice it was to myself. Taking responsibility and owning my mental health journey has been a tough but necessary punch in the gut.

But here's the thing, mental health is a journey that requires continuous growth, healing, learning, and unlearning. And the journey is worth it! Trust me, I'm still on it, and there's so much to discover. Your mental health impacts every aspect of your life, and the healthier you become in this sector, the healthier your life will be.

So, be gentle with yourself, keep on healing, and prioritize your mental health beyond Mental Health Awareness Month. You got this!💪🏼

Happy 😊, friends!💚

hi friend! Abi here! Let’s have a chat…

today’s episode is equally one of my favorites and one of the toughest ones to listen to. It took a lot of courage recording this segment so please hear me out.

As a survivor of sexual abuse and an advocate of mental health, I want to let you know that I see you. Many of us, sadly, know all too well about the impact abuse of any kind has on us. One of the most difficult things I had to process was the feeling of loneliness when I realized what happened to me without my consent.

Loneliness on top of such a devastating experience is truly heartbreaking, to say the least.

I don’t want us to feel alone during our healing. I want more of us to know that we have a family around us that care and support us throughout this process. This is the reason for . This is why we started and why we’re here.

You are not alone. You matter so much! No matter what life throws you way, you are worthy of all the love and compassion!

As you listen to today’s episode, pace yourself. Listen to yourself, and honor yourself.

Come rain or shine, you matter and you’ve got a friend (me) here supporting you.

Sending all the love,
Abi🤎

We may just be addicted to this episode, don't you know that it's toxic?🎶😜

(we love us some Britney)

Friends, the second episode of, "The Words We Use," series is LIVE on all platforms (link in bio). Today, we're calling out the word:...TOXIC!

And this episode is so intoxicating, you might just get caught up in it. (okay we're done with wordplay...for now👀)

Abigail speaks with Eryn Murrary on the series, "The Words We Use." In this series, we look closely at the popular word (and psychology term): toxic. In this episode, we learn how to better identify and check for toxic traits and behaviors. Abigail and Eryn examine themselves and their use of this c...

Fresh of the press, a new blog post by our friend Eryn Murray.

Grab your journal and tea because this is a piece worth reflecting upon!

By Eryn Murrary Before, I just wanted people to like me when I should have just like myself. Now that I am in a place of awareness, it feels good to know that I took the effort to understand my reactions to situations that I took very personally. I cannot place unrealistic expectations on people
