If you can’t splurge for those costly Barrina track lights, try this! You can use any grow light bulb that has a standard bulb screw-in base. I used the Sansi Grow Bulbs because they’re bright AF and my plants love them, but there are many other cost effective bulbs out there.

Let’s talk about Fluval Stratum!

Fluval Stratum is an aquarium substrate made from volcanic soil. It’s is made up of a mixture of volcanic soil, trace elements, and minerals. The soil is specifically chosen for its ability to maintain a neutral pH balance and promote healthy plant growth.

It’s porous, which allows for excellent water circulation and root development.

That’s just the TIP of the iceberg. Try it out for yourself! 🪴

I am so bad at keeping my moss poles moist (with the exception of my awesome one from ),

They mainly sit, dry, and I just use them as support (and I water them when I remember),

So, when I don’t feel like buying more moss poles to keep up with, I like finding alternatives. Wood from Home Depot or Lowe’s is thiiiick and a stable method for supporting plants.

Your plant will continue to grow as if it were trailing, as in the leaves may not get much bigger (in comparison to the success of using a moist moss pole) but your plant WILL love to climb!

When .garden asked if I’d be willing to try their product and share my review, I couldn’t say no.

I initially shied away from self-watering planters, because I’ve seen a lot of fails, BUT I’ve also seen a lot of wins. I decided to jump on trying the product, because at the very least, I can get creative with the way in which I use it…

…which is exactly what I did! Some planters I added leca, some in soil, and some in their original separate pot. The fun thing is, there’s no wrong way to use the product once it’s in your hands!

I added the planters to an empty wall in my dining room and they really amped up the jungle vibes, which was exactly what I was hoping for.

ALL WHITE LEAVES? NO, THANKS! But why not? All white leaves have no chlorophyll, so rather than creating energy for the plant, they leech energy from the plant in order to sustain themselves.
