.99¢ Record Sale

On June 10th at 9:00AM we will have our first 99¢ Record Sale for 2023. Now for those of you that haven’t experienced this sale before all I can say is that it is that it is massive and comes with all kinds of vinyl surprises that we have accumulated after buying so many record collections over the past 9 months. What happens when we buy that many collections is that we end up with so many duplicates & unicorns that we need to purge the vinyl vault and make some room for all of the new collections coming in. So Rock, Jazz, Soul, Country, Classical, Electronica, Pop will all be for sale for a mere 99¢. This year we will also have a massive collection of 12” singles that came from a DJ in town all priced at 99¢. We will also have a large amount of CD’s for sale that Ric has purged from his secret stash that will be out as well.

So early Saturday morning we start setting up tables in the back parking lot and filling them with records, as we have more records than tables we will be bringing out records all morning as we refill the crates with new stuff. So don’t worry about coming early as the sale will last until 3:00PM and just because you are first doesn’t mean you will get all of the good stuff.
But if you want to be first we will be opening up the sale at 9:00AM.

So either way this gives you plenty of time to stop by Munkabeans for coffee or maybe stop by by Hoagie's for breakfast. Heck, Hopkins even has a Farmer’s Market that opens early for those who like to support the locals and browse though their eclectic offerings. And after record shopping you just might stop by Bongos & Buds buy that guitar that you always wanted to learn how to play. Hopkins is a pretty cool place.

Record Store Day / Black Friday

Believe it or not Record Store Day - Black Friday is four days away, Which means that those very special RSD records are coming in like crazy, and once again we are getting everything ready for Black Friday.

So here are the details, some have changed from last time and some are the same.

Starting on Friday at 8:00 AM we will be handing out numbered tickets, that reserve your spot to go through the RSD records which will be located in the electronics area of the store. We will be handing them out at the front door and NOT the back door. We will be opening the store at 9:00 AM and you are welcome to browse while you wait your turn in line. So “YOU DON’T NEED TO STAND IN A LONG LINE” The whole goal here is to get rid of the lines and be able to social distance with everyone else.

Remember the whole goal behind Record Store Day - Black Friday is to have fun and be part of this amazing vinyl community we have in the Twin Cities. We have so many cool record stores in town and we are glad to be a part of them.

99¢ Record & CD Sale - This Saturday at 9:00

The 99¢ Record Sale is coming up fast and everyone in the store has been getting ready the massive stash of records that will be going out this Saturday. Now being this is our only 99¢ Record & CD sale this year it is gonna be a monster sale for sure. Lots classic rock, soul, jazz, country and lots of very obscure records that will make some obscure collector very happy.

Here are the details, starts at 9:00AM in the back parking lot so if you come early please line up in the back. We will have both 99¢ Records & CD’s (2 for 99¢) for sale on lots of tables under canopies for protection from the sun & rain.
