PRINCIPLES, MORALS and ETHICS…
One thing if you asked my kids of what I talk about is “ principles, morals and ethics”.. I use it to annoy them these days, But I want to have a concrete base for not only understanding one’s self but to understand how others hold these and why some conversations go astray.. My understanding of this is below….
PRINCIPLE (not Principal)
Is the order of your morals and ethics, The hierarchy.. also the order which the universe runs as we know it… And it’s what you hold to be true subjectively. Your principles can conflict and be challenged as it’s is a big scale concept. ( Order of M&E).
MORALS
Standards of behaviour…. Right and Wrong. And what you believe to be right or wrong, “It’s binary”. Very much so.. Morals are at the core of our beliefs, Difficult to challenge, cannot conflict and are small scale concept. (Order of P&E)
ETHICS
Your principles and morals govern your ethics through your behaviour and the way you conduct yourself. It’s your internal meet’s external manifestation of this… I’m talking about personal ethics not corporate. and if corporate ethics don’t match your own then you may have a conflict which may be hard to not only comprehend, but to rectify.
