It’s finally here- days of just relaxing, creating, and going at a slower pace while my daughter Elizabeth starts her summer session at college and we await moving her into her off campus college housing later this week. 🩷 Until then- I’ll be crafting, reading, and writing!
This one was SO fun to share - I'm so excited to have my plans/how finalized for these dream trip notebooks! Check it out on the Archer and Olive YouTube channel:

Hello warm weather - I’ve got new sublimation fun to share on Brother Crafts USA today!
Happy me (May) day. The dogs and I headed to Michael’s this week and we’ve been whooping it up here in the studio. I am thrilled to say I’ve got 6 projects in progress in here which is an all time high of recent years. I’m inspired. I’m prioritizing making things for fun. And I’ve finally got some videos to share! ❤️ more soon - have a wonderful day!
Scenes from around the studio today. Thank you for the amazing fabric - I’ve been stitching up a storm. It’s been a hard week adjusting and grieving, but I’m excited about ideas brewing in my mind and I’m looking forward to putting some things into action. Smokey & Bandit remain at my side, and we’re starting to get into a new routine. I’ve got a dress to alter, projects to finish, journaling to complete and a whole lot more.
Thanks to my friends for the happy mail! This embroidered bag + journal is going to be perfect on the road, meanwhile I can’t wait to dig in and share what I’m doing with the self care box. Videos coming soon! These are all now available on their website.
I ordered up photos, and now I’ve filled my Archer and Olive cart and purchased new journals. I’m ready for a new chapter of memory keeping! I’ve got a lot of content to share with you- stay tuned! Being an ambassador for A&O I got to preview a few items and wow. I can’t wait for my order!! https://www.archerandolive.com
Grief is hard, but remembering the good times and expressing feelings through art and making is always helpful. I’ll be working on some projects scrappy and I talked about taking on just this week as we spent so much time of her final week together. Of course I talk to my dogs! I talk to almost all animals I have such a deep love of them. I’m sad to say today the studio and our family lost a beloved member. For those who knew Scrappy- well she was really one of a kind. Surrendered (abandoned) at my husband’s fire station, extremely specific in her likes and dislikes, and always fiercely loyal and protective of her home and her family. Scrappy even enjoyed taking craft classes. She put her mark on this house and all of our hearts. ❤️🐾
New tutorial up for Brother Crafts USA !! https://fb.watch/qbmUalSj9l/?mibextid=cr9u03 loving these sublimation doggie bandanas!
Around here lately… keeping things tidy. Adding seed beads to replenish those used up by so many friendship bracelets. 🩵🩷 Lots of rainy days and puppy cuddles. Planning to finish the dang curtains project. Road tripped to San Luis Obispo. Am in a pink drink era. Saw Mean Girls for second time and it was even better. 10/10. Lot of time with Bandit. And discovered a new favorite cake shop. Now to plan a college visit trip for Becca, firm up Super Bowl menu and decor, and get ahead of February before it kicks my butt.
Right now {around the studio} scenes from a momentarily clean craft space. 🩷
Sublimation time!
123123 perfect date to end the year and start a few new projects- and loving that I accidentally match my journal! 🩷
Entering the last week of the year, wanting to make it crafty. ✨❤️
Current WIP no.247 - because I can’t say no to a new idea. It’s been a fairly cruddy day- so we shall forcibly bring in the cheer and make merry!!
Some November camera roll shots… I’ve been getting back into my craft groove. Christmas shopping. Loving on my newly enhanced stash. Walking down memory lane and thinking about past and future holiday traditions. Enjoying the pics Elizabeth sends of the incredible redwoods at college. Spending more time with my favorite pony. And of course snuggling with bandit and generally loving this cold season that is my FAVE.
New stickers & journal is always a happy day here in the studio!! Thanks to for the happy mail this is from their newest release. Video to come soon! 💕 🦄
Had a blast this morning showing how to make this card on FB live! Check out the replay on their channel (or on YT). So easy, so fun! 🍂 🧡
Happy Halloween! I spent the day in my weird Barbie best- and was so disappointed that only a few people got it! I 100% identify as a weird Barbie kind of person- I adored that movie + character and I can’t wait for my actual weird Barbie to arrive in the mail! 💕 remember let your weird side out and embrace being a funky character. 🤪🥰
Hello Monday, let’s be friends again. I’ve been off my game long enough that Monday has become a dreaded day and I’m not for that. So I’m working on my attitude and my perspective. When it comes to my everyday journal there is no telling what I will be doing inside. More art? Lot of writing? Doodles? Organized? Chaos? Yes yes yes. What I can tell you is that regular habits, making time for routines, and prioritizing my mental health will always help, and matter a lot. Here’s to great week full of potential ahead! Journal pictured is
I’ve been out sick all week- trying to get back to human functioning… and it’s not easy! Hope you have a great weekend.
New stickers in the studio!! I’m very excited to bust out these new colorful beauties and get making!

Scrapbooking can be complex, or it can be very fast and easy- that’s up to you. The stories aren’t more or less based on time taken or embellishments used. Today for Camp Scrap I’m sitting down with the illusive NYC album and I made 3 pages in 20 minutes using just a pen and some rub-ons. Stay tuned for more!
Let’s talk project planning, making creative time, and peek ahead at projects coming soon! Also- if looking to get a class kit at a great price now is the time!! Summer end clearance is on today/tomorrow: https://www.etsy.com/shop/mayflaumdesigns
Do you make space for creative time? Spend 3 minutes with me; let’s talk about it. The thing is, whether you took a long break or got stuck you need to make coming back easy, low (or no!) stress, and no achievement in mind. Just stretch, exercise a creative skill, and enjoy a few minutes of play!! I used zig clean color pens (love), primrosia pens (dislike- don’t work well), and distress inks (love) in this creative session. 💖
Using the new Everyday Explorers stamp set as my inspiration - today I'm scrapbooking a 12 mile (accidental!!) hike.
Did you miss today’s live? If so, you can find the video in the archives. If you saw that, well here’s the follow up layout! 💖
