With the recent announcement of Ainsley Gardiner as Head of Funding at the New Zealand Film Commission we want to assure you that Miss Conception Films is still devoted to continuing the work that Ainsley and Georgina started in 2015. Georgina will continue to champion underrepresented stories and filmmakers. Go well Ains, you are going to be incredible in your new role!

NZFC has today announced the appointment of Ainsley Gardiner (MNZM) to the role of Head of Funding. Ainsley is of Ngāti Awa, Te Whānau-a-Apanui, Ngāti Pikiao and Te Whakatōhea tribal descent.

The countdown is on for director Loren Taylor’s The Moon is Upside down, releasing in NZ cinemas May 2.

The film was funded via the NZFCs 125 Fund - a one-off fund to commemorate 125 years of women’s suffrage.

CASTING CALL Māori Boys 8-17 yrs, Māori Girls aged 14-18yrs, Tongan Boys 8-16yrs.

Kia ora koutou, we are currently auditioning Māori Boys ages 8-17yrs, Māori girls ages 14-18yrs and Tongan Boys ages 8-16yrs for a TV series from the producers of BOY and COUSINS. Filming will be in Pōneke (Wellington) in May-June 2022.

If you/your child would like to submit themselves for an audition please email the following to [email protected] by Monday the 28th of March:
- Child full name, age and date of birth
- A current head and shoulders photo of them
- Parent/guardians full name, contact number and email address
- Location

A short 1-2min video introducing yourself to camera and telling us a bit about your favourite things you like to do with your friends/hobbies and then for the boys we would like to see you do a short rap you can do this with or without music to anything you like, have fun with this!
