"Black Spot" EP by Galaktlan is out and about! You can grab it "free" or "pay as you want" on Bandcamp.

Black Spot is an intergalactic love story. We have massive other-wordly melancholic chords intertwine with seductive chillhop beats. The highly regarded Estonian composer Galaktlan shows new side of himself with this EP showcasing his clever way of mixing pop elements into his previously well-known and finely tuned IDM craft. To compliment the release, we have a remix from one of the most interesting acts of the today's synthwave scene: Buspin Jieber. To complete the EP, we have a collaboration between Galaktlan and the enigmatic singer Mhyst. The results are a synthwave pop extravaganza, which transports the listeners back into the 80s. A cosmic synthpop delight.

A lovely EP from Estonian IDM powerhouse Galaktlan will hit the stores on the 14th of December. It will feature a remix from the prince of synthwave himself, Buspin Jieber. Here's a little teaser from the title track of the EP: Black Spot.

It will be available on Bandcamp and all major online shops - and for streaming on Spotify and Tidal.

New Oh Mama coming soon - 8th of August to be exact and the name is "Hamraborg". Here is one of the track from the upcoming release: Catalina. It refers to the oldest restaurant in Kópavogur, operating for almost 35 years now.

Oh Mama's 5th album is a ode to Hamraborg - a shopping district in the second largest town in Iceland. Some have given it the name 'Harmaborg' (a play on words meaning 'Tragedy Town') due to its harsh architecture style and short-life span of businesses in the region. Oh Mama likes to embrace the faulty and chaotic - as reflected in the music.

Húsgögn ('House Files' in Icelandic) is a compilation of house-themed tracks from the Icelandic beatmakers Oh Mama. These mysterious and prolific producers offer their fourth-offering this year - and output is solid as ever. The soundscapes is both familiar and fresh - a throwback to the boundless house music from the 2000s.

House music is probably not the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about Icelandic music, but the scene has been vibrant for a while now and young talents pop up once in a while. This album is a testament to the scene and a must-have for anyone interested in Icelandic dance culture.
