You asked: what are your top 3 record labels where you purchase music and why?

I love music, anything from anywhere, made by anyone. However, I do have a preference, because of my sound and who I admire most so, I will always play tracks from these 3 labels during any set I play.

1. Moulton Records - It's no secret Mark Farina is and always will be my favorite. And so I learnt about Homero Espinosa from the music he often plays. Add David Harness, Daniel Craig aka Cubase Dan, and Dana Jung to the mix and you are in complete control of the vibe and energy of the safe space I hope to create for everyone to explore their emotions.

2. Nervous Records - I support independent record labels and there is nothing but quality music that educates people on the house music scene. If you know house, you know "Follow Me" by Aly-Us, or the anthem "Free" by Ultra Naté and so if you do, then you can appreciate this record label for that. There is a spiritual connection you have with music when you hear these classic, so I love to throw a couple in my important sets.

3. Defected Records and it's sisters labels like Glitterbox, DFTD (Defected's underground imprint), and Classic Music Company - If you really want to party, you are guaranteed to do so in hearing what this label consistently releases. I usually like to play these close to the end of my set, to keep people upbeat and positive going forward. Tracks like "Most Precious Love" by Blaze presents UDAUFL feat. Barbara Tucker (and it so happens today is her actual birthday - happy birthday queen!)

There are plenty more record labels I love and respect. I rinse their tracks on a daily basis and this allows me to learn even more music, get to know and network with people in the industry and be get creative and be unique with my sets.

UPDATE: Unfortunately I will not be able to travel to my various gigs/cities for the next while due to Sushi’s situation. A super difficult decision, but I have to prioritize taking care of him. So for now… Twitch and local gigs. I am heartbroken, because I was really looking forward and I feel sometimes that my road is always challenging and difficult but I am sure the universe has bigger and better plans for me.

It's been a hell week for us, watching Sushi fade away before our eyes. Sushi is the most amazing and special soul, we have an amazing connection and I knew it wasn't his time to transition. He is a fighter and he never gave up, even at times when I was the one that almost did. Until this morning, he looked into my eyes and told me that if he isn't going to give up, don't I dare that I do...

I want to give a shoutout to Sanimal for giving the most amazing care and saving him, where he was at the brink of dying. They are a top clinic and came highly recommended and I can absolutely see why now.

The vet doctors are absolute angels and while there is still a long road to recovery, Sushi is still here and will be for a while, because he chose to fight and live and I chose to go for a second opinion. I am so proud of him. 💜

Now I can go and sleep 30 hours.

My roots, yeah. I had so much fun recording this set, I chose all my all time favorite Jackin house tracks and rode this hard from the beginning to the end.

Exploring the deep sounds helped me appreciate the flavors of slowing down to teach me how to handle my emotions. Especially through being sick... but as always, I survive, thrive and seek to be alive! My roots... my roots will remain the same and with my visit to Toronto in 6 days, it stirred up......
