Life is short and the world is wide… just take the trip, yall! 🌎

Last month I did something *very* out of character: I bid on a trip for two to Turkey at the charity gala that must be used *3 weeks later.* Notable factors:

1) I didn’t know who I’d take
2) I didn’t have a passport, bc it was stolen by the burglars in December
3) I didn’t know anything about Turkey other than its hot air balloons had been on my bucket list for years
4) I didn’t exactly plan on donating more than $100 that night

Well… I turned to my friend and said, “What do you think???” and I texted my girl the same thing. They both said, “Do it!!” So I did it. And to my complete surprise, I won!

I could literally talk about & post about this adventure forever (if you can’t already tell) but it lit a fire in me & was honestly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Not only was it extremely fulfilling for us, it raised money for a fantastic cause. And… it’s led to another big development that I’ll be sharing shortly. 💗

Thank you so much to the wonderful for donating this trip to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society gala, to my girlfriends who encouraged me to “just do it”, to the stars aligning for me to go, and for the absolutely unforgettable Turkish people for sharing their country & culture with us for a few days.

And of course, thank you to my momma, , for joining me on the trip with one week’s notice after one of my girlfriends had to cancel for surgery. Everything worked out justttt the way it was supposed to, and we simply had the time of our lives. ✨✨✨

Making (and discovering) history 🇺🇸

We had the most incredible visit, marking a major change (that will hopefully stick around) in the public’s access to “our house.”

Secret Service agents told me the change was intended to create a “living museum” experience — allowing the public to step into rooms (that are actively used) at their own pace, on a self-guided tour. SS Agents & Rangers were scattered throughout so you could ask questions, but no one was pushing you along (and previously, tourists were limited to the hallways to just peek in rooms and ushered in groups.)

It was purely by chance that we were there for day one, and it sure was special. ✨✨

We went to two more museums after & I can’t wait to tell you about them. We literally packed nearly everything humanly possible into this trip!! 🧳

Anddd had to post a pic of the most phenomenal meal at — Goat Cheese Ravioli & Chicken Cutlet with butternut squash and pecan praline butter. 🤌 We neeeed one in Houston! 🥘

All aboard to Mount Vernon, home of George Washington! 🇺🇸

We enjoyed a 90 min cruise each way to explore the palatial estate of our first President, and felt transported back two centuries. I’m sharing a ton of details & history in stories to bring you along all of our adventures.

Core memories: captured. 🇺🇸 🌟

Walking the halls of the Capitol with one of the most recognizable members of Congress, , was truly a dream for my family.

His staffers were so incredibly kind and patient, giving us the full CapHill experience. We even had a random elevator ride with that was truly memorable. 🏛️

We also visited Ford’s Theatre & The Petersen House, where President Lincoln passed away.

I took the boys to see our founding documents and hopefully instill a touch of just how far we have come as a nation — the most powerful nation in the world, that we must work to honor, cherish, and maintain.

We wrapped with a trip to an open-air fish market and learned about the difference between male and female Blue Crab 🦀 — can you spot the signs?!

How do you say goodbye to soul gone too soon?

Paul DePadua passed away last week, and we said goodbye today. Paul was the epitome of love. Of light. Of embracing everything this life has to offer, no matter what crummy cards you keep being dealt. He exuded joy, and made a profound impact on countless lives.

I met Paul 8 years ago through the counter at Nordstrom, and one of his many talents was making you feel like his new bestie. With Paul, this wasn’t just a sales tactic. This was his *heart.* He often checked in on me to see how I was doing — when in reality, he was the one battling cancer with chemo, radiation, and beyond.

Just 10 days ago, as he “rested” at home in hospice, he was still working — checking in with me to see if I needed a restock on my beloved (and often sold out) Trish candles. I said of course & told him how proud I was of his relentless fight and drive, and we exchanged I love you’s. Those candles arrived at my doorstep on the day he passed away. 💔

As Maya Angelou said, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

Paul, I will never ever forget how you made me feel. I love you, sweet friend. I hope you’re dancing with the Angels today — and maybe showing them how to properly apply contour too. 💛🕊️

Congratulations to & my beautiful friend for her NEW practice location! I’ve been friends with Rachel since before she went out on her own, and it fills my heart up to see my talented, genuine girlfriends succeeding in big ways! 🏆

Her new location is right in the heart of Houston Heights — 34th & Ella — and she’s expanded her services too. From injections to HydraFacials, Pixel8 Microneedling to weight management solutions, PRF EZGel to “BroTox”, Rachel does it all with grace and a conservative approach. She’s always training on the newest technologies & methods, and she’s just an incredibly kind person.

Rain, rain, go away… ☔️🙏

It’s been a devastating 24 hours for Houston & surrounding areas, so I’m certainly not making light of the rain. Instead, I ask that you check on your friends & relatives who live here to make sure they’re ok. ❤️

As of 9pm Fri night, CenterPoint Energy’s map shows 545,784 customers without power (which I don’t think includes the actual number of people within a residence, but not 100% sure.) Prayers for all those who sustained damage to their homes & offices, and for the five people who lost their lives last night. 💔

Swipe to see the MOST EXPENSIVE BED in the world 🛌 🤩

The whole Grand Vividus bed setup costs $1 million!!!! 💸🤑I didn’t actually lay in it (🤦🏼‍♀️ fail!) but I did lay for about 15 min in the $60,000 bed and it was beyonddddd dreamy! 😇

There are tons of interesting articles & reviews about Hastens and its handmade craft, but to truly experience the bed, you have to lay in it yourself. — time for me to manifest one of your beds into my life! 🤩

It was the first time I’ve spoken to a group about losing my “identity”, going thru a divorce with a baby & toddler, and starting all over again. I truly hope that my message helped someone who needed to know they’re not alone and the “Big D” may shape you, but it doesn’t have to define you.

When friendships truly nurture your soul ❤️

Experienced my first Iftar and learned about Ramadan thanks to my beautiful friend, at the lovely !

For the month of Ramadan, Muslims abstain from eating and drinking (even water) from dawn til dusk. This represents a time of self-discipline, gratitude, reflection, empathy, and increased prayer — plus so much more.

I’m so grateful to Hoda for sharing a piece of her world with me, and will never forget this incredible evening!

HAPPY 40TH, !!!! 🎂 🎈 🎁

As your constituent, friend, and fellow Pisces, I was honored to celebrate your big milestone all weekend long — and boy, did we have a TIME! 🎉🎉

Many of y’all know me as “The Passport Girl” because during 2021, US Rep. Dan Crenshaw’s office helped me get my passport renewed when it was *impossible* to get an appointment at the State Dept (literally, the online scheduling system was disabled due to bots getting the appts & selling them.)

Crenshaw’s incredibly kind & responsive team helped me secure an appointment, so my “life hack” passport videos went viral — and his office was flooded with requests from Texans and beyond. His team helped so many people when the federal government wasn’t working the way it should. That is admirable, and a true example of public service. 🙌 It’s what we should expect from our elected officials, yet unfortunately, doesn’t often happen.

But that wasn’t the first time Rep. Crenshaw helped me. In 2020, my IRS stimulus check went missing (and it had been impossible to get anyone on the phone due to C.VID) so I contacted Dan’s office. They happily helped me get a call from the IRS and a new check in the mail. 💸

Dan & I didn’t meet until after all that, so it’s not like I had an “in”, I was just a constituent. But since then, it’s been such an honor to support him as he & his office supported me when I needed help. 🇺🇸

Dan, thank you so much for your military service (“Never Forget!”), your dedication to representing Texans (and the American people overall), and your friendship. You’re truly one of a kind and I am honored to have celebrated this milestone with you! 🙌

Among the tens of thousands of photos of incredible women in my phone, these images will ALWAYS be my favorite. crafted a vision & executed this photo shoot to perfection — and while I was laying there (very intimated & nervous) alongside *professional* models, what we created nearly 4 years ago has never left my mind.

That day, we celebrated what unites us and what makes us unique. Very different ages and stages, life experiences, and backgrounds… but a common purpose for silently telling the story of femininity through Elizabeth’s beautiful concept & photography. To me, this is a case where “a picture is worth a thousand words.” 💗💕

Happy Birthday (Weekend) Braeden!!! 🎉🎂🎈

3-1-16 changed my life forever. I’ll never forget when the nurse handed you to me, squealing & crying, as I layed flat on my back, I looked at her said, “What do I do with him now?” She said, “whatever you want baby, he’s all yours.” 🥹🤣

8 years later, here we are. We’ve been thru a lot of transitions together, helped each other through tears, and celebrated victories big and small. Your big ol smile lights up a room, you ability to dig into the topic du jour reminds me of me, and your unconditional love and patience for your brother is remarkable.

It was hard to pick just 10 photos of the 17,000 “Braeden Jack” pics on my iPhone… and I can’t wait to create 17,000 more. As much as I wish I could keep you little forever, watching you grow into the strong, smart, witty, creative little man you’re becoming is the ultimate blessing.

Occasionally in this life, you get lucky enough to find a true friend. 🫶🏻 Someone with a heart of gold who will laugh with you, cry with you, kick your butt when needed, stand up for you, and put your soul at ease. is that guy for me.

Even though we’re in our 30s, we’ve done a lot of growing up together over the last few years. We’ve schemed and dreamed, laughed til we cried, traveled the world, danced on tables, and so much more. He’s been there to heal my broken heart and help me hobble around the Bahamas when I split my knee wide open. He’s given me the confidence to take on new ventures, and helped me cool my jets when my world turned upside down.

Now that he’s moving on to new endeavors in Los Angeles, I’m missing him big time. But I’m so proud of him taking this leap (and can’t wait to visit him soon!)

🚨ROBBERS STRIKE AGAIN 🚨 Urgent safety alert — the same two men that burglarized my home (and many more across Houston) have now moved to DALLAS! *PLEASE SHARE THIS POST* to spread the word and let’s find these fools! They’re currently using a Black Chevy Tahoe with fake temporary tags. I’ve personally traced this vehicle back to a Houston incident on December 5th. If you know a victim, have them contact me!!!! 🙏 TOGETHER, we can move faster than police. These guys have stolen about $1 million in a month based on my estimates and we must stop them from wrecking other homes and robbing us of our security. The sentimental mementos they’ve taken from many of us can never be replaced. Description: 1) Tall, lanky, brown skin, messed up teeth, a unique ear, maybe a mole on his cheek. Bucket hat. Looks Hispanic but maybe Romani/Gypsy. Has a bit of a northeastern accent, but it’s hard to pinpoint. 2) Shorter & older than #1. Thick beard, but recently trimmed to remove sideburns / chops. Baseball cap. Rarely seen in person, because he does the stealing & driving. He looks Middle Eastern. Vehicle: 1) Black Ford F150 or 250. Silver accents. May have some damage to the front. No front plate, and often covers rear plate with white paper during hits. 2) Black Chevy Tahoe. Noticeable silver rims. Damage to the driver side near passenger door. 🚨 UPDATE 🚨 The robbers strike again — this time in Seabrook on Thursday. Luckily this homeowner, who I spoke with directly, didn’t quite fall for the scheme when “Bucket Hat” guy insisted she and her husband stand outside while he ran a drone. Instead of tree-trimming, he said he was working on a sprinkler line for the neighbors. I’ve heard they did successfully rob someone else in Seabrook and I hope to talk to that person today.
