This week-long event is a vibrant showcase of their rich culture and time-honored traditions. During this celebration, an array of food stalls and bustling bazaars are set up, offering a diverse range of products, from clothing and accessories to toys and much more. In January, the residents of Bustos, Bulacan, come together to celebrate the vibrant “Minasa Festival.”

Minasa, the locally-produced variant of the ubiquitous uraro cookies, boasts a distinct, more toasted, and subtly sweet yet elegant flavor that sets it apart from the typical uraro treat. This unique delicacy endears itself to both locals and visitors alike. The Minasa Festival coincides with the celebration of their patron saint, the Holy Child Jesus. This festive occasion features a vibrant street dancing parade in colorful costumes and an array of temporary stalls within the municipal compound, offering local cuisine and merchandise.

Teresita Torralba Sanchez (PLARIDEL) - The FIRST Filipina to compete in the first ever Miss Universe Beauty Pageant held in Long Beach, California in 1952.

Maricar Balagtas (PLARIDEL) - Miss Universe Philippines 2004. The FIRST FIlipino delegate to win the Miss Globe International title in 2001.


Chelsea Anne Manalo (Meycauayan) - The FIRST woman of color (Black Filipino American) candidate to be selected to represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe pageant.

*Another notable Bulakenya in the Miss Universe stage is Maria Mika Maxine Medina whose father hails from Hagonoy, Bulacan. Maxine competed in the Miss Universe 2016 with a top 6 finish.

PALASAPAS FALLS :
The neighborhood or barrio in Manicla in the City of San Jose Province of Nueva Ecija, is seven kilometers from the Poblacion, on the outskirts of the city. Visiting this city's border will let you discover the natural visual beauty of the Palasapas Falls.

Formerly located in the area was a frightening forest that is now turned into one of the Nueva Ecija tourist spots. Its modest presence was only heightened by the sound of tumbling waterfalls that were accidentally hidden under snarled tree branches and dense undergrowth.

The Palasapas Falls is a breath of fresh air and a haven of peace. It's a great place to have a picnic and go swimming, particularly in the summer, with your loved ones, friends, or families.

Alam mo ba na ang Nueva Ecija ay sumasaklaw sa kabuuang lawak na 5,751.33 kilometro kuwadrado (2,220.60 sq mi). Nagsisimula ang kalupaan nito sa timog-kanlurang latian malapit sa hangganan ng Pampanga. Ito ay bumababa at pagkatapos ay unti-unting tumataas sa mga gumugulong na burol habang papalapit ito sa mga bundok ng Sierra Madre sa silangan, at ang Caraballo at Cordillera Central ranges sa hilaga.
