Layag Films Production proudly presents a short film that captivates the audience with its unique story, 'Salamisim' with the theme "Lapis". Achieving the 3rd Best Film, Best Sound Design, Best Cinematography, and Best Editor (Mr. Jhopet Macailao) on Pelikulayag 2023: A SineSpartan Film Festival, exclusive for Bachelor of Arts in Communication students, spearheaded by Poderoso Communicador Sociedad (PCS).

Upgraded to suit your taste as the production sailed on CineMMedia: "Sikot: Papunta ka palang, Pabalik nako"

SYNOPSIS: A story of a man named Julian who keeps waiting for the woman (Kristine) she loves. He keeps believing that soon, their paths will cross again and continue the love story that they once had. When Julian found Kristine, will he be able to continue their relationship? Or just let things come to an end.

From Pelikulayag to CineMMediA.

Another voyage has ended for LAYAG Films Production as they were able to secure a spot at the final lineup of the film fest entitled CineMMediA 2024 with the theme, Sikot: Papunta ka pa lang, Pabalik na ako, held at the Main Campus of University of Batangas.

With their first masterpiece "Salamisim", LAYAG sets its sail again for another film fest journey as one of the representatives of Batangas State University, The National Engineering University - Lipa Campus.

Despite not bagging any awards at the said event, Mr. Archie Theodore Rosal who portrayed Julian, was nominated as one of the Best Supporting Actors. The production surely enjoyed the entire voyage, and looking forward in participating at the same film fest next year.

Sailing despite the strong waves, setting anchor without support and buckled up without seat.

Layag Films Production once again bagged 3rd place on its second time joining PELIKULAYAG: A Cinematic Cruise of Artistry through the Winds and Waves of Reality, presenting "Panimdim" as it's entry. Despite a lot of lapses during Pre, Production and Post-Production, Layag Films able to come home with the title.

"Panimdim is a story of dreams, hope, and voyage. Katulad ng magkapatid na si Sol at Dan, lahat tayo ay nangangarap, umaasa, at patuloy na naglalakbay habang tayo ay nabubuhay. At naniniwala ang Layag, na hanggang may pangarap, ay may pag-asa na makapag lakbay pa tayo ng malayo towards our desired paths" quoted by their Head Writer, and Production Manager, Ms. Aira Nagorite on the Writer's Note.

Despite a lot of struggles that the production faced this Pelikulayag 2024, Layag proved that nothing and no one can stop them from reaching their destination. In line with their motto from last year's Pelikulayag Director Mr. Francis Bonn Nepales, "We can do this all together", the production is always reminded to go along and fight with the waves as they sail towards their dreams.

On your cue!

Layag Films Production have successfully held their first character screening for their upcoming short film project. The members gathered to witness the amazing acts of individuals who gladly accepted the invite of the production for the casting call.

Different set of solo acts, re-enactment of different lines from famous movies, and the most anticipated chemistry test were showcased at the said event.

Don't be afraid to fail, be afraid not to try.

Layag Films Production presents to you, a short clip highlighting a student's fear to face his setbacks. Will he be able to overcome and acknowledge his fear?

Embracing the things you fear is already an accomplishment. Failing is surely a part of our life, but that is not because we are not good enough. Failure is inevitable on one's journey, and it is for us to remember that we should not stop until we reach our goal. As we continue to strive, we should also look for the brighter side of every misfortune that is happening in our life. Do not let the darkness overtake you, bestow thyself a beam of sunshine.

Come and join us on our voyage, as we sail through the depths of every tale. Behind each story are the masterminds who created them, akin to when the artists finally meet their muses.

With raging passions to turn dreams into reality, students of Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Batangas State University-TNEU Lipa Campus established the film production on March 15, 2023.

Setting the sails, LAYAG Film Productions warmly introduces the adroit individuals with the goal of unveiling every little story for each and everyone.
