SA Jack of Hearts aka “Gamble” is looking for a new pasture. Gamble is an 11yo, 16.1hh registered Anglo-Shagya gelding. Shagyas are very similar to Arabians, but a separate breed with a performance requirement for stallion approval similar to warmbloods. We have owned Gamble since Nov 2023 and purchased him for endurance riding. Gamble is friendly and very athletic, however, he is more horse than we want to ride and can be reactive under saddle.

He spent 3 months with trainer Geoff Goodson. We have invested a lot into Gamble and own others from his bloodlines, but we just don’t think he is ever going to be the distance horse we are looking for.

Best suited for a very experienced rider or professional trainer. He is UTD on Coggins, shots and dentals and will go to his new barn with a winter blanket and rain sheet. Low 4s, located in Griswold, CT.

I just finished mowing the front pasture and Anna Broman Sawyer got back from almost 2.5 hrs on trail with Amira. The kids are milking goats and feeding horses while I relax with a beer and cigar. I highly recommend this stage of life. We will have to make some cuts on the farm when the slave labor moves out.
