If a chocolate bar could motivate me get to my first 100 Grand revenue year, I figured it could help other mothers too. 🍫⚡️

Here's Megan Bowen of Meg B Marketing who attended our very first workshop in September 2019. She realized she could hit six figures in revenue ... and she DID!

She's grown her social media company 3x since then and is making family memories with her two cool kids. Go Megan! We invited her back to share her story at the 2023 Workshop.

One of the hardest parts of the career I chose?
Being on social media all day.
Study after study shows how it’s harmful to mental health.
And I’m on it for hours a day.

There are things I’ve put in place to help me unplug and let go of everything my mind absorbs during all that scrolling:

Mid day walks outside without my phone.
Unplugging after my work day for a few hours
Limit my own personal social media use and even this business account so I don’t have more accounts I need to be tending to
Staying really conscious with my consumption and noticing when comparison or insecurities start to creep in

It depends on you. Your personality. Your product. Your brand. Your creativity. Your goals. Your availability. Your budget. It all just depends.

Going viral or having a video get a ton of views can sometimes mean nothing. Sometimes it can legit do ZERO things for your account. It shouldn’t be your goal for posting and it shouldn’t be the only way you gauge success

This client’s video from Dec 5 is still getting views and grows every day. But we have gotten zero followers and no website traffic. It’s a 500K+ view dud 🤷🏻‍♀️

Unless your video ends up on the mean side of the internet, you can just leave it alone. If you do end up getting a lot of negativity or spam you can turn comments off

10 years ago I started an internship at a local TV station that would turn into 6 years in an amazing career which would shift into owning my business and living a life with a lot of financial and time freedom. It’s been an amazing decade of adulthood and working and I’m feeling grateful today for the hard and the fun and then stress and the joys of it all.

As someone who has officially hit that 10 Years Experience benchmark, I will always stand by my prices. I have never had a problem finding clients willing to pay them and who are completely satisfied with my work.

My girl turns 7 tomorrow (😱) and she has been watching me work her whole life. My hope is that she sees her mom making and achieving goals, doing hard things, having a passion outside the roles of wife and mother. I hope she continues to watch me fail and try again. I know she’ll see how I’ve “balanced” work and motherhood and she’ll be able to say “my mom wasn’t there 100% of the time, but she was there most of the time and always when it mattered most.” I hope she takes what she sees and creates a life for herself, outside of what society expects of her. I hope she finds a partner who supports her goals and dreams as she has watched her dad support mine. As mothers we always have people watching us, and I’m proud of what she sees ❤️

E-commerce stores listen up! If you sell anything YOU NEED TO GET ON FACEBOOK.

They're spending all their time and energy on ecommerce features this year, and the sooner you get on board, the better it will be. Facebook announced their expanding their shopping to WhatsApp and Facebook Marketplace, which means more eyeballs on your products!

Halfway through 2021 and it has FLOWN BY for me and Meg B Marketing!

Mid-Year Check-In:

10 new clients- a mixture of monthly management and projects

Celebrating 1 and 2 year anniversaries with my other monthly clients 🥳🥳

Gave my home office a beautiful makeover! It’s such a lovely space to work in.

On track to double my 2020 revenue and hit my year-end goals ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Created half a dozen Reels that have now gone viral (over 1M views) and dozens more that are adding value and building communities.

Taught on social media strategies and trainings to 4 awesome groups.

My business has also supported me and thrived during a period earlier this year when my mental and physical health were really suffering. A couple months of severe depression and anxiety, followed by a medical diagnosis connected to my autoimmune disease that has required me to dedicate a lot of time and energy to healing and caring for myself. Work was the one thing my brain would actually “turn on” for and I’m so thankful I have created this beautiful thing that supports me more than just financially!

I have so many fun projects in the works, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of 2021 brings my way. Thank you to everyone who continues to support me. I don’t do any of this alone!
