Scenes from Back to the Bricks in Flint, MI this weekend. BTTB is the annual car show extravaganza in Flint, MI - the birthplace of General Motors. As part of the festivities, the Buicktown Chapter of the Buick Club of America sponsors Buicks on the Bricks - all Buick owners are invited to park Saturday morning on the bricks of historic Water street. This is where GM's Factory One is located - the original factory of the Durant-Dort Carriage co. where Billy Durant built carriages, and then Buicks. Factory One has been beautifully restored by GM. Buicks on the Bricks featured the Buick Reatta this year, and Reatta owners brought 73 of their cars to Water Street. This is likely the largest gathering of Reattas ever. In these photos you will see the rare Reattas displayed in the showcase area, as well as the larger showfield with more Reattas and other Buicks gather for the day.

Interesting and rare Buick at the WorldWide Auction Saturday (Auburn, IN). 1982 Grand National, turbocharged - said to be one of 17 (approximately). Car showed 4400 miles on odometer, and three owners. Pre-auction estimate was $90-$100K, according to WorldWide executive. It was no reserve. Bid to $47,500, but the high bid appears to have come from the owner. A few pictures here. What do you think? Was the pre-auction estimate wishful thinking?

More than 20 stunning Buicks at the 2021 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals. Delighted that our 1986 Buick LeSabre Grand National was invited (it's the black one). Lots of people stopped by to talk about it or learn what it was - most didn't know there was such a car. It is one of 117 Buick built so it could raced the LeSabre in NASCAR. Congratulations to all the people who brought their world-class cars!
