Back from working on the movie ranch northeast of Trinidad, Colorado. Big thanks to Floyd Stephen Alexander, Garrit Speiss, and Michelle Watson for helping to make it happen. We plotted out the village of "Vista Morada" and dug in the hard earth to get one structure started. Camped out a couple nights, saw amazing stars and milky way, had some tarantulas join us, found some fossils, and did some interviews for Garrit's documentary about it too. Stay tuned for more news-

Part 2 of the "Old Mission Road" project. Success! After clearing out some pinion and cedar limbs on the plateau Mike was able to get the truck to the top where we will construct the set and structures. A very hot day but the view made it worth it. Some pics here show the view from the top, where a lookout tower of the Mission will be, looking down upon the trail/road below. The topography is perfect for the script as a battle will commence here in the finale.
Mike finished the day by extracting a couple longer cedar branch fenceposts which likely have been there since the early 1900s. These particular ones will be repurposed as frames for oversize spaghetti western poster and other pictures. The remaining fenceposts will be repurposed into a corral fence on the property to maintain the esthetic and era. Next we will do some retaining work on the road and begin work on a small portion of the Mission set. Also saw some curious "friends" on the prairie below, and the Southwest Chief Amtrak happened to be headed east to Chicago as Mike got back onto hwy 350 for the trek home.

Hi friends- It was a long but productive and exciting day as we finally started work on the movie ranch in beautiful country northeast of Trinidad, Colorado on lonely hwy 350. Today's objective: a road to the top of the pleateau! There we can build various sets such as the lost mission for "Bullets From Beyond". Mike met D and H Dirt at sunrise in Trinidad and we trekked out to the property. Made an interesting stop just before getting to the ranch along the original historic Sante Fe Trail. D and H did an awesome job and Mike took some time to map out the building plans- and captured some cool pics! Tomorrow we will complete the path and will try to post a video tour-
