Here's some snippets of the clinic part of the 🤘

All performers absolutely smashed it, having quite a diverse mix of playing styles.

Joel Andrew Blunden played some of his favourite rock and pop tunes as well as showcasing his singing voice with an song he wrote called pieces 🧩

played some Hacktivist tunes which are super technical, super heavy and super precise. Rich is such a clinical and clean player, it's always a masterclass watching him play 🤘

AJ Rousell played tunes from a mix of artists he's played for or is currently playing for which included some country genres and singer songwriter styled songs, adding his own flare to his performance...he also did an AWESOME solo in front a room full of drummers, so massive props to him 🙌

Here's all of the student performances from the last weekend.

Absolutely over the moon with their performances, each and every one of them worked super super hard to perform as well as they did. Well done to each and everyone of you for getting up on that stage 💪🥁

Introducing who will be performing during the clinic section of the . AJ actually did an online masterclass for the DC back when the world was isolating, so it will be our absolute pleasure to have him gracing the stage at in person this time! 🥁🤘 Read below to see what AJ is about.

"AJ Rousell is a professional Drummer, Educator, Clinician, Author, and Drum Camp Founder.

Having been passionate about drums and music since a young age, AJ has dedicated his life to mastering his craft. His experience as a professional drummer and educator has led him to being a regularly called upon musician.
AJ has recorded at a number of studios (including his own in Bristol) and performed live with artists such as FirewoodIsland, Danny McMahon, Tina Boonstra, Katie O'Malley, Holly Abraham, Louisa Maria, Amy Moore, Ben Francis, and KALA CHNG. AJ's reputation has been built on his professionalism, experience, and genuine passion for what he does.

With an extensive list of private students, he has also taught and performed alongside some of the most renowned drummers; including Eddy Thrower, Emmanuelle Caplette, Gabor Dornyei, JP Bouvet, and Dave Major.

In 2018, AJ founded The Drummer's Odyssey Camp; an immersive experience for drummer's looking to develop their playing, study with some of the worlds top drummers, and connect deeper with the UK drum community."

RE introducing Richard Hawking AKA . Anyone who attended the DCs first masterclass will know how amazing Rich is as a player! He'll be performing as part of the clinic section of the .Here's a reminder of what he's about.

"With extensive experience in a variety of settings from studio to stage and the international touring circuit, alongside tuition for music services and private music organisations, Richard is able to draw from a broad skill set for his work.

Richard is also the drummer for rap metal band , who have had amazing success playing on main stages at festivals like Download, Reading, Sonisphere and Rock am Ring. They've had major coverage through BBC radio 1 and Metal Hammer Magazine with their music reaching multiple top three spots on various metal charts.

Richard strives to pass on his own passion for creativity, self-development and constant progression to his pupils and other drummers."

Introducing who will be performing at the .

Founder of the Drum Cupboard, Joel Andrew Blunden will be performing tracks from some of his favourite artists, a track from his band, " ", plus a track he's composed for the event.

Joel grew up playing drums on Sunday mornings in the church band at age 11, moving onto teaching and playing in both function and original bands from the age of 15. Joel has carved out a career for himself playing with artists who have been to Glastonbury and other mainstream festivals, supporting the likes of Rag n Bone man, The Beat, High Fade to name a few. He has also played at major function events for companies like Mitsubishi UK and even played for members of the royal family. As well as playing live, Joel has been teaching through the Drum Cupboard, specialising in teaching students with additional needs, working mostly privately and through local schools. He also works with music services around Bucks, Beds and Northamptonshire on song writing and inclusion projects.

Joel is a keen musician and regularly song writes with his band "Blunden", composes for side projects and has worked with many local artists helping in their creative production process.
