MY MIL MISTREATED MY SON FROM A PREVIOUS MARRIAGE WHEN I WASN'T AROUND—WHEN I FOUND OUT, I TAUGHT HER A PROPER LESSON

I've got two sons—one's 12, from my previous marriage while the other's 6 from my current one. My older son's dad passed away, and four years later, I married my now-husband.

So, the other day, I decided to drop by my MIL's house (my current husband's mom) unannounced to bring some food, and toys, and spend a little time with my boys, who were staying there for summer break.

I walked in without knocking, thinking I'd surprise them, but what I heard froze me in my tracks. "PETER! I TOLD YOU TO STAY IN THE ROOM AND NOT COME OUT, YOU UNDERSTAND, YOU LITTLE BASTARD? YOU'RE PUNISHED, AND YOU'LL BE IN THAT ROOM ALONE UNTIL NIGHTFALL!"

"Grandma, please, I'm sorry!" I heard Peter cry.

"I'M NOT YOUR GRANDMA AND NEVER CALL ME THAT AGAIN!" she screamed.

I was stunned and furious. This woman always smiled at me like butter wouldn't melt when I saw her.

I had an idea in my head, how to take revenge for my son and teach this woman a lesson once and for all! Without a second thought, I reached into my bag for ⬇️

As soon as they finished moving all their things, the teenagers started having parties. They got loud, and many other young people showed up. They didn’t turn off their music until 5 a.m. on a Monday.

“So? That’s not my problem. I pay rent just like anyone else, and I get to play as much music as I want to,” the young man responded rudely.

“Go ahead. My dad’s the sheriff at the police station. There’s nothing you can do,” he said and smirked. “Now, go away old dude.'

Meanwhile, the neighbors continued having parties every single day since they moved into that house. Almost the entire neighborhood had knocked on their door to try and reason with them, but they wouldn’t listen.

One night, they posted a sign in front of their house, which read: “NO ONE SLEEPS TONIGHT!”

Mr. Adams, who had lived in the house for many years, thought there was no way out. The new neighbors had connections and neither the police nor the Home Owners Association responded to complaints.

Well, salvation came unexpectedly.

Michelle didn't realize something was wrong until her stepdad, Eugene, collapsed onto the sofa and started crying. They'd just arrived home and discovered a note from Mom on the coffee table. That same note now lay on the seat beside Eugene.

Michelle navigated her wheelchair through the gap between the sofa and the armchair. She leaned over and snatched up the note.

"Michelle, don't." Eugene reached to grab the note.

Michelle reversed out of his reach. She needed to know what the heck was going on. She held the page in one hand. Her fingers shook as she scanned her mother's words:

"I can't do it anymore. You know I never wanted children, but I tried my best to care for Michelle anyway. That burden has taken the best years of my life from me. But now that she's sixteen, I've decided it's time I pursue my dream of becoming an actress before it's too late..."

Michelle didn't read the rest. She crumpled the page in her fist as tears poured down her cheeks. Burden...was that all she was?

At that moment, Michelle had no idea that her mother would return several years later at the most unexpected moment. But then their roles will be completely different.

MY STEPDAUGHTER DEMANDED I TRANSFER ALL THE ASSETS OF HER LATE DAD TO HER & HER — I DID, BUT SHE DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT ONE LITTLE DETAIL.

I (57F) lost my husband of 25 years last year. He had a daughter, Susan (34F).

Our relationship with Susan was fine. She got married to the man of her choice, but after that, it was all downhill.

When he died, he didn't leave a will. After his death, Susan didn't even attend his funeral. Barely six months later, she and her husband barged into our house with a lawyer, demanding I sign some documents and a blank sheet.

I asked the lawyer what it was about. He said it was for transferring all the assets into Susan and her husband's name. I said no. When they refused to leave, my neighbor, bless his heart, heard the yelling and physically kicked them out.
