Do you believe in order to follow Christ, you must be nice at all costs? Sugar coat the truth?

The image painted in the Christ Consciousness of the New Age portrays Jesus in a light, that now that I actually read the Bible and get to know Him more and more, I see is false.

Christians should stand for Truth and Good, against the Lies of the Enemy. Wokeness looks at that as being mean. But there’s a difference between being mean and being honest.

In Luke 12:51 Jesus said, “Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three.”

In the image below, Jesus is very mad. ”Jesus entered the Temple and began to drive out all the people buying and selling animals for sacrifice. He knocked over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves. He said to them, “The Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves!””

How and when are we chosen? Some believe we
were chosen before time. Some believe we’ll be chosen if we just do enough good works. I believe the Good Shepherd is calling back all of his sheep right now… and if you can muddle your way through the 30 mins of my latest podcast, you’re likely one of them. 🐑

You can go to church everyday forever and know nothing about Jesus.

You can have a close, personal relationship with Jesus even if you never go to church.

Rites and rituals, sacraments and rules, these are religious things created by man.

The thief on the cross was promised eternal life not because he was baptized. Not because he lead a sin-less life. He did not sacrifice goats or virgins to his god. He repented. He believed in Jesus and said it out loud. And the Lord promised his salvation.

Jesus died on the cross for your sins. He knows you are a sinner. He expects it. And he loves you anyway. You don’t have to DO anything to make him love you.

That is unconditional love. That is sacrificial love. That is the only real love.
