In the forests of Hinckley, Ohio, there's a fascinating stone-carved sphinx that seems to have a story of its own. Created in the 1940s by Noble Stuart, this sphinx at Worden's Ledges is more than it seems—featuring not just one but multiple hidden faces within its intricate carvings. It's these enigmatic features that make this Ohio sphinx a particularly mysterious landmark. What's even more intriguing is the uncanny resemblance between the Ohio sphinx, the iconic Great Sphinx of Egypt, and a unique hill formation in Escuintla, Guatemala, which appears to have a woman-like face sculpted into it. It leaves us wondering about the coincidences, or perhaps shared inspirations, between these far-apart creations.
