My favorite elk photo so far this fall. I was hiking through the river bed and heard the bugling so I headed in the direction came around a corner and saw two huge bulls. They were thrashing in the willows and running through the river. I love the unexpected moments of wildlife photography.

Yesterday 610 was hit by a car. The car did not stop or report it. I am out everyday in the park and see people all day speeding through and passing people. Each area of the park has wildlife that crosses the road. There are black bear zones, grizzly zones, elk crossing, moose crossings and so on. What you may think looks like open road in a national park is really the home of these animals and crossing roads is how they move through the park.
Last week at a bear jam for Blondie a tourist actually told a ranger he didn’t have time to sit in a bear jam he had to get to dinner. Why vacation in a national park with wildlife and nature if you are going to be so selfish. National parks are full of wildlife and natural beauty that are meant to enjoyed and cherished not sped through with city life agendas.
SLOW DOWN AND RESPECT SOMETHING BIGGER THAN YOURSELF.

This time of year in the Tetons the bull moose are chasing the females. You will find a bull with a cow almost anywhere right now and sometimes with a cow and calf. If the cow walks he walks, if she beds down he beds down. The cow is only “in the mood” for 1-36 hours so he is right there making sure he doesn’t miss it🤣🤣

My favorite bear…. The first Grizzly I ever photographed. I haven’t seen her since June 10th 2022 when she lost her three cubs.
SHE CAME BACK yesterday with two huge COY and put on a show. It was an amazing day and it was the first day of my fall workshop with .

~ REFLECTIONS~
My favorite photo from my otter experience Sunday night. Otters in the snow are my favorite because how well they show up on a white background. Otters on a brown riverbank are my least favorite for obviously brown reasons. I was loving otters in green what do you think???

Happy weekend!! Taking a break from wildlife today spending the day with the teenagers and really happy about that!
I can’t wait to share an awesome adventure and wildlife encounter I had yesterday I’m still feeling how incredible it was.

Walking in the woods and found this beautiful lady…. When I’m not doing tours and workshops I love to get out and walk all over looking for wildlife. I love the quiet moments.

THE CUTEST CUB EVER! This little guy was eating berries in the woods with its mom on Monday and I’m pretty sure I have never seen a more adorable bear. The ears are chocolate brown and big, it’s coat was milk chocolate, and it’s face is so sweet and round. Have you ever seen a cuter bear?
