Quite early on, the name catechesis was given to the totality of the Church's efforts to make disciples, to help people believe that Jesus is the Son of God so that believing they might have life in his name, and to educate and instruct them in this life, thus building up the Body of Christ (Catechism of the Catholic Church no. 4).

When we start a new day of our journey in life we asked you for your guidance as we plugged once again ourselves deeper tracking our faith growth and confidence at the end of the day we see the fruit of our labor. But there are moments that we cannot avoid being unrespectful with others because of our ego, we’re not able to manage ourselves and live out what you taught us to show dignity and integrity. Thank you for reminding us today as you say,“Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity” (Titus 2:7)

Jesus our Good Shepherd, draw us close to you.

Father in heaven, we have not yet totally comprehend your being a Messiah. We are Catholic Christians by virtue of our baptism but still many things we have to do and in that way we will grow in faith. Develop in us our fidelity in you so that we cannot be deceived by the attractions of the Evil one. Thank you, O Lord, our abiding presence. Amen.
