Reverent son plays at Bloodstock 2024

The band in and out of the studio on our first release, all guitars are basically done its just vocals and solos .You will love the art work we have for it!

Reverent son sees themselves as a mix of the The sword and a Mastodon rip off so going for that vibe

They have a great stage performance, our lead track is Circled by sharks, based on jaws movie, where we throw inflatable sharks into the crowd.

They love chatting about the importance of paying the artist, a lot of bands cheap out on art work and i think it hurts them.

Green Lung taught them pay the artist and make sure you maximize using that art work, I mean Iron Miden art work still speaks for itself.

Reverent son will play over 30+ shows this year and did just over 30 shows last year (they did 7 prior to that) so they have really honed being a live band first.

They also made the decision they where going to record the album properly, in a studio, not in our bedroom, They think that's always good debate of the pros and cons of home studio over a real studio.

Reverent son is based in Essex (South east of England)

Reverent son Bio:
Birthed in 2020 , Reverent Son blends the late 70's hard rock with the more modern and progressive music of today. Old books and movies provide the source material. The bands influences include ; Mastodon, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, Devin Townsend,COC and Thin Lizzy.
By taking lyrical and song inspiration from cultural references, sci-fi stories, stop frame animation movie monsters, witchcraft, cult followings, supernatural and historical events, the songs take on an adventurous style. Reverent Son entertains live with a haze of riffs, onstage mascots and memorable pop culture quotes.

Recent winner of the Essex metal to the masses - playing Bloodstock open air festival in August 2024.

PipemanRadio Interviews Root Zero, a progressive/gothic metal band from Cardiff, Wales. We formed in late 2019 and our current lineup has been together since 2022. We are the winners of this year's South Wales Bloodstock Metal 2 the Masses and we're thrilled to be playing the New Blood Stage at Bloodstock Festival this year! We released our debut EP The Weight of What I Started last year and we're currently working on our next release. Our most recent single, Notti D'Inverno, was released in March.

Formed initially as a solo project in 2016 by multi-instrumentalist Giacomo Fiderio, the band evolved over the years into its current lineup, officially becoming a full band in 2020.

Them Bloody Kids is playing at Bloodstock 2024 and have a New single "Knocked Down"

Alt-Metal band hailing from London, bending the lines between sub-genres with their moshable bangers

The band came together based on their love of System of a Down and Scars On Broadway. They have many other influences including RHCP, Muse, Black Sabbath, Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, Deftones, Biffy Clyro and A Perfect Circle.

Lead singer and guitarist Sebastian Moederle-Lumb hails from the seaside town of Scarborough. Influenced by bands such as SOAD, Muse and Black Sabbath. Seb writes all our catchy riffs as well as being a genius lyricist.

Drummer and classical composer Darren Maddox from Liverpool brings a uniqueness to TBK. Influenced by SOAD, Led Zepplin, Smashing Pumpkins and video game / soundtrack music he delivers a fresh twist to the percussion and composition of the tracks

Vein is a natural born producer bringing industrial and nu-metal vibes to the stage. His philosophy; "All music tells a story" and with TBK, there is many stories to tell..

The Pipeman is in the Pit with his PipeNuts for music from Lady Gaga, Gojira, an amazing performance of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Imagine and Celine Dion at the 2024 Olympics Opening Ceremony in Paris, France along the Seine River with Special Musical Guest Corinne Barrett and some new music this week for Season 18, Episode 27. This week let’s forget about politics, division, and all the other crap in the world to celebrate togetherness, love, and peace.

Our special music artist guest this week is Corinne Barrett who will talk with us about her Global Song Awards Contest is now open for entries with amazing prizes in all categories of music.

Lady Gaga kicked off the Olympics opening ceremony performances singing in French with a rendition of Z**i Jeanmaire's "Mon Truc En Plumes" on a set of stairs along the Seine River. Surrounded by pink feathers, Gaga's brief set was reminiscent of her Jazz and Piano residency in Las Vegas. It also appeared to pay tribute to Jeanmaire's performance of the song on the Ed Sullivan Show. After descending the stairs, Gaga kicked on a chorus line and played on a piano.

Then the cloaked figure carrying the Olympic torch crashes a performance of Les Misérables and kicks off a performance dedicated to "liberty" at the Olympic opening ceremony, complete with rock and opera music with an mind blowing performance by France’s own Heavy Metal Giants Gojira.

We had a moving performance of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s 'Imagine' takes place on a fiery raft that gave the Pipeman chills. The performance by pianist Sofiane Pamart and singer Juliette Armanet is meant to celebrate a world reconciled and without borders. "Imagine" is a permanent element of Olympic protocol, per organizers, having been a highlight of many recent opening ceremonies.

And possibly the best part of it all was the signs of Liberte’ and Solidarite’ where we can imagine the dream of all the world’s people living together in love, peace, and harmony. This is what the Olympics are all about!

Céline Dion closed out the opening ceremony with her first performance since she announced her diagnosis with stiff-person syndrome in 2022. Dion performed “L’Hymne à l’amour” by the French singer Édith Piaf, from a stage at the base of the Eiffel Tower. It was a tear jerker watching Dion perform perfectly with what was probably one of the most difficult and honored performances of her career

Let’s not forget Snoop Dogg all through the opening ceremony starting with carrying the torch to just being entertaining the whole time spreading messages of peace and love.

Future Palace have dedicated an album to this feeling of overwhelm. On the new record “Distortion”, the Berlin post-hardcore trio deals with an almost oppressing mass of mental illnesses and problems. In doing so they create music that - appropriate to this topic - hits more hooks than ever before from one moment to the next, from the quietest depths to the loftiest heights.

A central feature of Future Palace's music has always been the examination of the problems that primarily take place inside a person. “Distortion” is not only no exception in this context, but is also considered the brutal climax of this approach. The album title, which is derived from the psychological term cognitive distortion, represents a picture of a world in which the constant change in one's own perception causes one to fall into the same traps again and again from which there seems to be no way out. Future Palace prove that this confusing view of the world can manifest itself in many aspects by dealing with very different images of illnesses and people on “Distortion”, from ADHD to depression to narcissism. The Berlin band's third album is such an overwhelming force of emotions, struggles, negotiations, cycles and cries of desperation that the sheer amount alone can take your breath away when you listen to it.

“I sang the entire album with a root infection”, says singer Maria Lessing. “We had to postpone the studio stay because I had a wisdom tooth surgery shortly before we started recording and had to struggle with a lockjaw for a few weeks. The demos then had to be completed at extremely short notice - that was pure stress for me. But I have the feeling that the songs have become even more authentic here and there.” The genesis of “Distortion” also reflects the band’s everyday life. “The album was definitely created under the impression of being a heavy touring band”, explains guitarist Manuel Kohlert. “This means that it also exposes the feelings of being on the road a lot, of understanding your own existence in this special form of living and of looking into the past and future in this state.”
