In the wake of Hurricane Helene, 104 skilled lineworkers from 21 electric cooperatives across Illinois have been on the ground, working tirelessly to restore power and aid recovery efforts. Our crews have assisted Carroll EMC (Carrollton, GA), and are now helping those at Planters EMC (Millen, GA), Satilla REMC (Alma, GA), and Jackson Energy (London, KY), with many now preparing to move on to help in North Carolina.

At Planters EMC, 84 lineworkers from 18 Illinois co-ops — Adams Electric, Clay Electric, Clinton County Electric, Coles-Moultrie Electric, Corn Belt Energy, Eastern Illini Electric, Egyptian Electric, EnerStar Electric, Illinois Electric, JCE Co-op, Menard Electric, Norris Electric, Rural Electric Convenience, Shelby Electric, SouthEastern Illinois Electric, Spoon River Electric, Tri-County Electric and Wayne-White Counties Electric — have been hard at work.

At Satilla REMC, 14 lineworkers from Corn Belt Energy, Southwestern Electric and Western Illinois Electrical Coop. are making a difference.

At Jackson Energy, 6 lineworkers from Illinois Electric and M.J.M. Electric are providing critical support and will soon head to assist Blue Ridge Energy in North Carolina.

Imagine taking a cross-country train trip, and your most vivid memory is ... an ear of corn? That’s exactly what happened to New York Times Magazine columnist Caity Weaver in 2019, who called the “Mendota Gold” mural in Mendota, “the single best thing in the United States.” Although that giant ear of corn is now retired, it was just one piece of a bigger vision: The Silo Pathways Countryside Public Art Tour. This unique tour brings large-scale public art to the Illinois River Valley, transforming rural areas into art galleries and revitalizing small communities along the way. Originally a Boy Scout camp located just outside of Carlyle, Whispering Pines of Clinton County is a 147-acre haven designed to soothe the soul through nature. The campground offers a refuge for veterans, first responders, youth groups and more. Run entirely by volunteers and supported by donations, this unique campground thrives on community spirit. • Create visually appealing and engaging magazine layouts, ensuring content is presented in an aesthetically pleasing and reader-friendly manner.
• Develop and maintain brand identity materials, including logos, marketing collateral and style guides.
• Collaborate with clients and team members to understand project requirements and deliver designs that meet or exceed expectations.
• Incorporate photography into designs to enhance visual storytelling.
