Just ordered some new hose for the new riparium, so it will be flooded in due time for the long awaited cycle and soil bed maturation. For this build, I plan to have the water flow outlet positioned at the top of the largest stone, so that it trickles down over the stone and into the tank. This top stone area will be a curated selection of mosses and rhizome species, with as much focus given to this area as the rest of the scape. The emersed plant section will once again be in the rear where the deepest part of the soil bed is. I will be relying on the dense root grow to help support the slope and stones as the tank matures into the future. I'm also half expecting that hero stone to fall over and destroy everything in its wake.... Let's hope that doesn't happen 🤡

Almost there with this new shallow aquascape. These stones are much bigger than the Hakkai I had here previously but I'm reluctant to break any. I have one smaller stones I plant to break apart a few times and also need to do something about the left side, it's not quite there.

Roughly rearranged the existing scape into another triangle layout triangle which mirrors the 60cm to it's left. I will end up replacing the soil as it's a bit grotty when I have the plants to plant it in. Im gonna have an iwagumi phase to get it out of my system before I dip my toes back into a large Dutch.

Work in progress on a shallow iwagumi scape, using Hakkai stone. Can't wait to get this planted.

Day 6 - Check out this cool new 'plant'. Look at that little heart pump away. Still aren't getting a clear enough image with 1:1 magnification to see cell movement, but I think you may be able to observe it on Day 7. My apologies to anyone who was following my Pygmy Egg diary, my lack of motivation knows no bounds. I've been sitting a few more clips of the egg which I will roll out over the next few days. The Pygmy Cory baby ended up hatching around Day 11, which I unfortunately did not capture.
