So as most of you know, The Not Most People Community is centered around concepts shared in the Not Most People Podcast, which I launched back in March.
It started as a little passion project but quickly became more than that...
Recently, the podcast passed a couple of milestones - milestones that wouldn't have been possible without all you who have supported the show by either listening, sharing, leaving a review, etc. so I first want to thank all of you. It really means the world
And without all of you the podcast and this community wouldn't really matter
But anyways, here are the recent milestones:
1 - A perfect 5.0 rating from over 50 5-Star ratings and reviews on Apple Podcasts. I'm overwhelmed that so many people enjoy the show enough to live a high rating or write a review
2 - According to Listen Notes, the worlds largest podcast search engine, Not Most People is in the top 3% of podcasts globally! Still a long way to go and we're just getting started, but super cool to see that
And I started my podcast with
0 podcasting experience
0 speaking experience
0 advertising
No huge following
No idea how to edit audio
No idea how to book guests
In fact, my whole life I had been terrified of speaking up and sharing my voice
Dealt with extreme stage fright most of my life
Wanted to start doing audio/video content years ago but didn't because I couldn't stand to hear my own voice played back to me
And if you had said even a year or two ago that I would be hosting a podcast, I would have laughed and said "yea, not me"
So basically, if I can do it, anyone can do it, provided they follow the right steps, stay consistent, and get better every day
I certainly didn't take all of the right steps starting out.
I made plenty of mistakes and wasted lots of time through trial and error
But I did some things right, and the things I didn't I learned from
And no joke podcasting has greatly impacted my life
How I view myself as a person
My confidence on the mic and as a speaker
Connected me with incredible people I otherwise wouldn't have had the opportunity to meet
Greatly strengthened my personal brand
Now you're probably thinking: "Cool Bradley, good for you, but why am I telling you all of this?"
Because the podcast also led to something else that I never planned on at all....
After I started my podcast, I had people coming out of nowhere asking me how I started, how I did this or that, what equipment I used, etc.
So I decided to put everything I had learned so far into one place where people could get it if they wanted to start their own podcast
It's called
From Lost To Listeners: Podcast Creation And Launch Course
Don't worry. There's no fancy sales pitch
I'm just sharing what I created in case you or someone else you know might find it useful
For most of you, there will probably be no interest and that's cool
And for those of you who are interested, it's there if you want it - no fancy funnels or webinars or up-sells or anything like that
Just there if you want to check it out
Everything I wish that I had know when I got started laid out step by step - without breaking your budget when you're starting out
This would have saved me a lot of time and energy if I'd had it, and hopefully it can do that for you when/if you start your own podcast
