Look who’s back on our baking pod—it’s , an award-winning pastry chef and founder of ! Christina joins host to chat all about her new cookbook, “Bake Club: 101 Must-Have Moves for Your Kitchen,” which was released earlier this week. ⁠

The book was inspired by the virtual baking club Christina started during the pandemic and she tells Jessie more about her baking philosophies, why she doesn’t have a scale at home, and why you should “drink failure for breakfast.” Then the duo dive into Christina’s Skillet Cookie recipe, which she says is unfussy, super adaptable, and a total crowdpleaser. ⁠

We loved celebrating the people, creativity, artistry, and bounty of Northern California at our very first Jubilee Wine Country last month. It was a fun-filled weekend—from our Wine, Women & Song dine-around and wine tasting with local winemakers to our Bakers’ Brunch (presented by & ) that featured some of the most talented bakers and pastry chefs in the region.

Our guests had the opportunity to hear from and network with our keynote speakers, including , , Jeni Britton (), Amelia Morán Ceja (of ), and Robin McBride (of ). We had book signings, a picnic lunch, wine tastings, a live performance by , and so much more all with the gorgeous backdrop of in Calistoga. ⁠

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to all the inspiring women who attended Jubilee Wine Country. We hope you left with a refreshed sense of community and connection. And a special thank-you to , , , , , and for supporting our event. ⁠

Hi, everybody! Cherry Bombe founder here. The team has finally had time to settle back in and reflect on our recent Jubilee Wine Country. This beautiful weekend was our first-ever celebration of the people and produce (and yes, of course, wine) that make this region of the country so special. 🍇💜⁠

Held at the resort in Calistoga, Jubilee included talks, panels, an outdoor lunch, our Wine, Women & Song evening event, a bakers brunch, book signings, lots of activities, and a spectacular sunset. We capped things off with an industry night at . ⁠

Over the next week, we share more pictures plus some of the wisdom from the stage. My big takeaway was take chances. That was definitely the through line that connected all of our speakers and panelists. ⁠

Thank you to the Bombesquad for celebrating and her new book, “Salty, Cheesy, Herby, Crispy Snackable Bakes,” with us last month in Boston! 

Our party took place at ’s at the Seaport. Joanne and her team baked up mini versions of their famous sticky buns plus recipes from Jessie’s book, including the savory pumpkin loaf and butter sage scones. Everything was made with flour and butter. There were also luscious butter scoops to slather on the bread and scones.

During the event, Jessie signed copies of her book and guests took home a goodie bag filled with our fall issue, treats from Joanne’s team, a boxed mix from King Arthur, and cozy socks from Kerrygold. ⁠

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Jessie’s book tour this fall in Boston, Chicago, New York City, and San Francisco! Special thanks to and company for their support.

We are heartbroken, disappointed, and outraged like so many of you.

We do want to thank Kamala Harris for running on a platform of compassion and respect. She carried the hopes and dreams of millions on her shoulders for months and never buckled under the weight.

It’s hard to think about the next generation right now and what these election results will mean for them, but Kamala will no doubt inspire young women for generations to come.

We will continue to focus on our community fight on behalf of all women, even those who don’t understand how progress has benefitted them, and how our rights can so easily be taken away.
